So Bush leads by 2 among likely voters in a poll taken entirely on a weekend. I'll take it.

"credibility" means nothing amongst organizations that judge themselves.

So we are leading by 2 in likely? And CNN chose to go with the registered voters tie? Why am I not surprised?

Gallup projected the final race to be 49-49. It was 49-47 LV but they allocated the 2 percent undecided to Kerry so it becomes 49-49.

I thought they would have Bush 50-Kerry 47 so I think the Pres is still in the drivers seat.

How many of these first time voters will get to a polling place..see a line longer than the newest thrill ride at Six Flags and skip it for lunch at Hooters? Seriously, these new voters may be nothing more than signing someone up at Walmart and never hearing from them again.

If Bush carries PA and the Upper Midwest, he's re-elected.

Kerry leading in FL and OH, Bush leading in WI, PA and IA...

adds up to a 269 to 269 TIE!

This is crazy. But IF you give Bush WI, PA, IA and NM---that gets him to 270. Hawaii could be gravy.

I want to look at more of the internals, but this is topsy turvy!

Well, those are rounded numbers, so it could have been 48.5-47.4 and after adjusting 49.4-48.5

For goodness sakes that's why polls are unreliable, even ones that show Bush in the lead. How in the world can the President lose 12 points in Florida in one week? What a load of crap that is! Well, I guess you nervous types better go out and buy an extra supply of Maalox, Tums, and Pepto Bismal because I'm sure by now you've convinced yourselves that Kerry is going to win! I can't wait for the Bush victory because I want to see the MSM eat extra helpings of crow after all their work to defeat the President went down the drain.

yeah, two points ahead on a weekend poll is pretty good. Especially given that this is not just any weekend, but Halloween weekend.

ARGH! My head is going to explode. I want the election to be overwith! Blargh! Bush will win. I'm not letting these polls get to me. The most important polls are on election day. Have faith guys! Bush will win! The liberals are SCREWED! I wish I could see a real battle between the Viking Kitties and the liberals. LOL! That would be funny as crap. The Kitties would win of course. They would probably do a superpower Zot and wipe out the libs within 10 seconds. Yeah...I'm getting carried away with myself so I'll just end my post here. : o

Folks -- Gallup is the Gold Standard. If thye show 49/47 Bush, then its pretty close to that. Just means that we gotta go extra hard and show up at the polls, especially you battleground folks!!

No, I don't believe the state numbers, but then that's based on my having believed all the various polls over the past weeks. So who knows. I've also heard that Bush is up 5 to 15 in early voting, I alsoi heard today early voting in Iowa is going massively for Kerry. I can't sort it out, but I do think the pollsters poll.

Well, you've held my hand through '98, 2000, '02, so I guess I'll go with you now. I'm still TERRIFIED!

"Well its up to the voter now. We will see which poll was right if any." Parley

Yep, you are right. I'm working the polls on Tues. for 13 hours, then I go to an election support party. Then my job is done.
I just pray the people get it right. If not, then 2 times a week I will be in public sporting signs to hold Kerry responsible for his promises.

Lessons of 2000--NEVER get screwed by a poll. This is what I'm thinking they all are doing.

Then again, maybe it really is just that close?

This is exactly as expected.

Bush has been up one or more for weeks, so how would we feel if the numbers were reversed.

This poll only confirms everyones for-casted tightening for the weekend.

Bush is still up and nothing has changed that gives me any cause to worry.

The big poll will be based on turnout Tuesday.

Lets make sure we all turnout and bring friends.

I have never trusted polls, and these poll takers would not be above cheating.

Everyone, keep the faith and vote.
