In America, a rising tide is supposed to lift all boats. But today, Americans are working harder, earning less, and paying more for health care, college, and taxes. Corporate profits are soaring, the government keeps expanding, but the opportunities for our middle-class are shrinking. - johnkerry.com
But what about the Heinz Corporation? Does Kerry give them a slide? Or how about even his wife?
According to news analysis Mark Hyman, She reported an income of $5,070,000, a fraction of her estimated one billion dollars. She claimed $2.78 million or more than half her income as tax-exempt. Of the remaining $2.29 million she paid $627,150 in income taxes. Heinz Kerry's tax liability on her total income represented a 12.32% tax rate.
According to the latest IRS figures, her tax liability is less than the average for middle class taxpayers, earning between $28,000 and $56,000, whose tax rates was 15.9%. This is 3-1/2 percentage points more than the rate Heinz Kerry paid.
According to Congress's bipartisan Joint Economic Committee tax filers reporting income of one million dollars or more paid an average of $944,241 or 50% more than the total amount paid by Heinz Kerry.
And the top one percent of all income filers paid a rate of 27.5% or almost 2-1/4 times the rate she paid.
Unlike the average American, Heinz Kerry can afford the best tax lawyers around that can set-up schemes allowing her to shelter more than half of her income. More noteworthy, though, is what her husband has been saying. He campaigns that he will raise taxes on those earning $200,000 or more. He says this with a straight face and with the full knowledge that his wife has sheltered 55% of her income. And if he truly believed all wealthy Americans should pay more in taxes than shouldn't he start at home and convince his own wife to simply write a check to the U.S. Treasury? Or does he believe the top one percent should exclude him and his wife from paying what he says should be their fair share? - Mark Hyman, The Point (newscentral.tv)
John Kerry also states It's time to bring those opportunities back. John Kerry and John Edwards know that we're stronger when we create good-paying jobs here, not ship them overseas. They want to reward hardworking middle-class families with tax breaks, not larger bills. They want to expand the reach of opportunity, not the size of government. And they want to lead an America where we work together to invest in the jobs of tomorrow.
But according to his plan in order for him to make good on all his promises he would have to create on of the biggest welfare state in U.S. history! Except he has some loop holes.
First he promised to give a tax cut to those making less then $200,000. He did not say HOW much that would be! He could send everyone a check for a dollar and say hat he kept hi promise.
Cut Middle-Class Taxes To Raise Middle-Class Incomes
When John Kerry is president, middle-class taxes will go down. Ninety-eight percent of all Americans and 99 percent of American businesses will get a tax cut under the Kerry-Edwards plan.

Second, he promised everyone to be eligible for the same health care that senators have? He gave as an example Blue Cross/Blue Shield but he did not mention that Blue Cross/Blue Shield has several plans including an HMO. Not everyone will get a personal doctor like Kerry has. You most likely will get a Short distance Diagnoses Doctor - When you tell them you found a lump -they will look at it from the doorway and tell you its nothing. No X-ray, CAT scan or biopsy, that costs too much money for your plan! What about new technology like the Virtual Colonoscopy? The Senator will get it you get The Tube
Invest In The Jobs Of Tomorrow
Today, businesses are harnessing new technology to manufacture energy-efficient cars, high-grade steel, advanced plastics and other new products. And this requires a bigger, skilled labor force to make them. John Kerry and John Edwards believe we should invest in these jobs and invest in the people who will fill them.
The Kerry-Edwards plan will increase energy conservation and create clean, renewable sources of energy that no terrorist can sabotage and no foreign government can seize. Their plan will also save billions by cutting waste and pork-barrel spending in Washington.

John has made many promises about new energy and energy conservation, but so have Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter. What did they deliverer? - Very Little! Clinton gave a tax deduction that was only useful to the high income earners, Carter wore a sweater!
Kerry could only make out on this promise by raising tax on gasoline by a dollar or more a gallon. At that price people would be as conservative on using gas as Kerry states in his campaign. He could use the money to research how to make another fuel efficient car that only saves on gas if you drive less then 40MPH and cost 3 times as much as the same model with out the fancy engine!
If Kerry's history of tax hiking carries over, no one will bother to work because most of your check will go to those who don't! Already there are people asking the question Why should I work when there are people getting benifits from the government I don't have like credit cards to buy groceries. What will happen when they can get a Aetna card too?
John Kerry and the Mrs. are above the fray; whereas we are expected to pay our fair share; the Kerrys and those like them are the elite and not expected to pay their way and that is a fact. Sad truth is, that John Kerry hasnt a clue how to run a business, fight a war (though, his four months in Vietnam make him an expert), or run a country his expertise is talking a point to death or plagiarizing someone elses words as he did yesterday, all talk and no action with out testing the popularity for action not with his countrymen but the popularity from the United Nations, France etc. Kerry is a fraud when it comes to most things American - especially taxes, they are for the little people.
The key word in Kerry's tax plan is "earn". His wife never earned a penny in her life and, hence, owes nothing under her husband's plan. She might even be eligible for welfare under the Kerry Tax Plan.
If Kerry wins, the house should start impeachment procedeedings immediately.
Hopefully Kerry's next plan will be to sulk in his senate seat.
