Was in Charlestown last week end. Dozens of Kerry sign and one tiny Bush. Hope the whole state isn't like it.

Fred and Mort on Fox today were asked to make a prediction, both said Bush. Mort has come around in the last year. He actually gave a little smile. He was never a real leftie but sometimes leaned that way.

Someone on Fox wondered if Kerry had been given a "heads up" by someone in the Pentagon. The concensus was "yes".

I did actually see that but thanks for keeping me up to speed because dad and I are big soccer fans so especially on Saturday/Sunday we have Sky Sports on and not FOX.

It was wonderful, but, no, I didn't get very close. I was able to get a good view of the First Lady as she left, but I had already put my camera away. :-(

We had a rollicking good time, however. Toni Jennings was the M.C.; Jeb and Marvin Bush were there; Rick Keller; Scott McGrady spoke about how right George W. is for present and past veterans; Charlie Christ, Florida's State Attorney General; a professional wrestler; a couple of bands (one had the hit "Jacob's Ladder"), but don't remember their names; Rich Crody (asked if anyone wants to run for mayor of Orlando!); Kevin Berry; and others who I don't remember. Jeb said there were 17,000 people there.

There were some protester's across the street when we entered, but they were dancing more than protesting. However, when we were leaving, a shouting match started between some Kerry supporters on one side of the street and Bush supporters on the other side of the street. Unfortunately, we were on the Kerry side of the street, and I was more than a little nervous until we got past them.

What struck me most was how nice the Bush supporters looked and acted when inside the field (Tinker Stadium). We were crowded together very closely, no place to sit down (the few bleachers filled quickly), but everyone was "up", smiling, friendly, and helpful. A young couple standing near us (I got the impression "military" when looking at them) had their young twin boys with them. Those little red-headed boys (about 4 years old) were the cutest things and so well mannered. They got us some "W is for Women" signs to wave.

If I wasn't already so strongly "Pro Bush" before the rally, I would have been afterwards. I'm glad I went.

Hi, Snugs!

Want to hear a White House ghost story?

It happened a few years back, if you a familiar with WH history and with the president's of the US, than you would know about one of my favorite First Ladies (from the 19th centuary) The wife of our 4th President, James Madison was Dolley Todd Madison, she is said to have been very lively and full of spunk. well, she also love roses and has some planted on the grounds of the WH for her pleasure. The roses were here "children" so to speak!

When she left the WH after Madison's two terms were up, she was not happy about leaving her beloved roses so to insure that nobody every uprooted them or destroyed them, she gave them as a gift to the nation. That is the famouse Rose Garden at the White House today.

Well, as I said before, Dolley was completely devoted to the rose bushes, even to moving to a home across the stree from the White Hous afterm Madison died. She lived in DC until her own death in 1849.

Legand has it that Dolley;s ghost can sometimes bee seen either at the hous across from the WH or in the Rose Garden at the WH.

One day, during the time John F Kenndey was president, and Jackie was into her renivation project in the WH, Two workmen were going to tear out the rose bushed at Mrs. Kennedy'srequest as she was going to plant something else were the roses were growing.

So the men started thier work, but no sooner had they hag a shovel in the ground, they heard someone angrily telling them to get away from her roses!

They looked up to see a woman in early 1800's dress coming from a side entrance and running towards them.

They wer so scared they threw down thiertools and ran from the garden.

When Mrs. Kennedy heard this she went to the President to complain, Buyt President Kennedy only smiled knowing that Dolley Madison had returned to protect her roses so he gave notice that the rose garden was not to be tuched. so the garden stays till this day anhd Dolley is satisfied.
