lol A comb-over is a comb-over. ;-)
Cheney and Rummy have aged like fine wine!
Did we all look that dorky in the 70'S??? Nevermind.... :-D
Pinz
That is so funny!
Left VP Cheney (then asst NSA advisor?) and right Gerald Ford (face obscured) and I believe Rummy was Dept. Defense Secretary at the time..
Oh man, the clothes..that was the hilt of style back then!
Is that Waikiki Beach?
how 'bout dat!
Super interview!
Don't know.
Did you hear Rush quoting Rove about the ten battleground states and what the polls were looking like.
I looked for a thread on here about it, but I could not find one.
According to Rush, Rove said that they are ahead or tied in 8 of the 10 battleground states and in four battleground states their lead is out of MOE.
Did you hear this too??
Did Rush mention anything today about Kerry's discharge?
He did, I heard it at the end of the 1st hour.
Commenting on the Tom Brokaw interview, when Kerry says no one could know his IQ because his records weren't public, Rush asked the rhetorical question: Wonder what he wouldn't want people to know about his records? Could it be his discharge? (I'm paraphrasing)
This is going to be a great weekend. ;-)

Who got married in '74 wearing a double knit orange pantsuit. =:-0
**"Dick, Please run in 2008."
No doubt, but his health will not allow it. I can't believe how well he's doing just given the stress of the campaign**
Dick Cheney will not run in 2008 and I give 2 reasons neither of which are really to do with his health.
1) He is not prepared to do things that a President has to do to get elected. He is not a baby hugger or a photo op man. He has said as much in several interviews one quite recently.
2) IMHO he feels that in view of what I have said in item 1 that this is the end of his public life and want to enjoy his private life "fishing/hunting" etc whilst he is still able to do so. He wants to enjoy his grandchildren as well.
I would add though look out for him and Lynne to be actively involved when (and I say when not if as I sincerely believe she will) their daughter Liz Cheney (Perry) runs for some kind of office.
Regarding your comment on stress as well I sincerely believe he thrives on stress and it is very unlikely that his heart problems have ever been to do with stress. IMHO he manages and handles pressure and stress like we eat breakfast if his heart problems had been due to stress he would never have coped with the first Gulf War, personal attacks on him and his family and most importantly 9/11.
Agreed. I agree with lots of what you have to say. However, if you have a heart condition, which the VP obviously does, stress is not going to be helpful. No one could "handle" it better than this man, whom we obviously both admire, but there's no reason to tempt fate. If Liz ever runs for office (she would be fantastic), do you think anyone would mention she has a lesbian for a sister? ;)
Sorry to take so long getting back to you--had to go out for a while.
Rove's quote was:
"Of the ten main battleground states the Bush campaign's internal tracking polls show," quote, "we are up or even in eight of these states. We have a solid lead outside the margin of error in four of them but it's going to be a close election."
