I also heard Tony Snow say today, that within the last 48 hours, there has been a big break of voters towards Bush. Somewhere in the 2-1 range. He wasn't clear if this was all voters, leaning Bush, or undecideds. All these rumors we have heard for the last few weeks, have said Bush/Rove are expecting a late surge towards Bush. Now that could just be hoping on their part. But I don't think I have heard the Kerry campaign saying this.
I'm not Rove or Bush, but so far it's following my prediction made months ago.
I thought given the conditions they have to operate under that an early break out was impossible. While the MSM doesn't have quite the power they used to, I don't underestimate their influence either.
My prediction has been that the polls would tighten at the end, then it would break wide open for a decisive win in one of the candidates favor. This country does not want another 2000.
My gut check feeling has been that when confronted with finally having to make a choice, reality will set in, and they'll break for Bush in that ballot booth.
This prediction, barring the unexpected, would seem to be on its way towards materializing. We're going to find out soon if this is the case.
