On Great (Fox News), Bill Gertz said he is coming out with an article that U.S. intelligence stands behind assessment that the Russian GRU moved weapons out of Iraq in the time leading up to the war.
He also said it would take weeks for the story to develop.
"As long as it's applied consistently across the board"
Speaking of becoming consistent, did you read those books yet???
Apologias ... however compelling ... still aren't going to change the Facts, my dear.
If they have them at the library, I'll grab them. I'm living on a shoestring and pressed for time at present with studies and such.
Irrespective of their heritage, Americans must be alert.
lol!
('course now I'm a little nervous ...)
First, Germans drink beer, and half of them are Catholic. Second, wine is drunk in most Orthodox nations, if we are going to be religious on this subject. Britian is not a catholic nation. I've lived in Germany and I've been to France, and I can say this: most of the drinking I saw was not a glass of wine with meals, but drunks all over. In Germany you can even piss behind any bush or side street off of any main street.
The Fests are something, when an entire village gets to gather and stays drunk for a week, then the next week they head to a neighbors village to get drunk and so on: that's March to October.
As for cops kicking people, guess you've never been to Germany, especially when the issue is Turks.
Also: Beer sales in russia are around 75-80% of all alcohol and vodka is less then 12%.
I'm all for exposing Soviet deception strategy. They've done nothing they haven't promised to do all along. But that will entail exposing deception and complicity on the part of our own, you know. I don't think most want to hear or go there.
It's moot at this point.
=== The laws of logic apply to all irrespective of ancestry.
Yes and to that I would add the laws of Conscience. This is just one reason that I have such a problem with the "War on Terror" being framed as a "War on Islam" when -- in fact -- Islamicist terrorists have about as much to do with most Muslims as the IRA does with Catholics or liberation theology does with Catholicism.
The fact of the matter is that -- with the exception of horrors inflicted by the Stalinist Saddam (a regime we put in power, you remember) the fanatical Leninist Iranian regime, or the terrorism inculcated by the Soviet Puppet Arafat, et al. -- it's the Muslim nations who've most consistently resisted the strongarming of the UN and the US to impose "Western" style rejection of God in the form of birth control and abortion.
In fact, that's the most heartbreaking bit for me where the demonization and DEHUMANIZATION of Muslims across the board in the name of Holy War is concerned. It's not just the way we wanted to muscle in and impose the materialism and vice of our "liberated" society on theirs. It's the way we sought to control their reproduction by excluding the Creator and demolishing the notion worldwide that "all men are created equal."
Yes, logic applies and anyone who applies the logic of the conscience knows well that something stinks to high heaven where this particular Holy War is concerned.
If we had really wanted to wage war on Terror, we'd have attacked it at its roots back in 1966 as the Soviet convened the Tri-Continental Conference and promised 1000% funding increases for the Terror Internationale whose first ring of training camps were situated on the same island as Gitmo.
But we were too busy sending our men a world away to die in ignominy and pick up cheap heroin habits from the very Chicoms we were appeasing behind the scenes by cranking the Golden Triangle out of China and stopping overflights of Burmese poppy fields.
If the government feels confident in drawing a connection between drug cash and terrorist funding, it's likely because Uncle Sam's been only too well aware the connection for over a generation.
But all that aside ... I still stand by my point that ancestry matters. I wish it mattered more in that Jews stayed closer to Father Abraham than the Democratic party or Christians kept to the spirit of the Sermon on the Mount or Muslims had the opportunity to realize that Mohammed was a Christian heretic (their veneration of the Virgin proof positive that landbridge back to their true home exists) and that they have more in common with true Christians than they'll ever have in common with the radicalized Islamicists which the Soviets have fostered and managed almost since the moment the Bolsheviks took control of poor Russia and accomplished with slaughter and terror basically the same deformation of a people the gramscian marxists have made fait accompli here with their march through the institutions ... particularly those religious.
And on this point you are beyond all boundries of WRONG. Their very Holy Book directs them to this. Don't be such an apologist for the Islamics.
=== Their very Holy Book directs them to this.
Did I not mention that Mohammed was a Christian heretic who -- like most cafeteria Christians these days -- not only picked and chose what tenets of the faith he found to his liking but also managed to rationalize the condemning and slaughter of others in God's name?
People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
If you wish to condemn Mohammedanism, I got your six.
If you wish to pretend that a literal reading of the Old Testament -- as so often encouraged by various Christian heretics over the last 2000 centuries -- wouldn't likewise lead to certain excesses of injustice, you're just being a hypocrite of the first order.
Hearkening again to LOGIC, a nation that gilds with Scripture the slaughtering of artificially manufactured unborn human lives for "humanitarian" purpose and who rationalizes legal abortion and abortifacient birth control as "Women's Rights" (and a critical facet of the imposing of "democracy" worldwide if our actions to date are any indication) probably is not well-positioned to make the case for Just War on the moral grounds that another has taken God's name in vain to the point of inflicting violence on innocents and therefore itself must be destroyed.
Probably not a good idea to impose on others a logic you yourself cannot withstand.
P.S.: if you MUST ping your Bathroom Buddies to your replies to ME, please do so in private where I am less likely to view you as (1) a mental pygmy who cannot defend himself his own arguments and/or (2) a rabblerouser of the Gangbang mentality whose primary interest is not debating me but sowing division and inviting others more capable, perhaps, than to you to butt in.
I have zero respect for such actions and have even excused myself from some valuable ping lists where posters persisted in pinging me to personal exchanges such as yours and mine.
While your upfront honesty about such a despicable practice somewhat commendable, I suppose, Keep it up and I'll just ignore you entirely in the future.
=== First, Germans drink beer, and half of them are Catholic.
1/2 are Catholic? This is news.
I've been to Oktoberfest. I know they can do some serious drinking.
This New Orleanian, however, still was stunned by what I saw in Moscow.

What do you mean "now"?

"Apologias ... however compelling ... still aren't going to change the Facts, my dear."
I think the two books I recommended will completely alter you current fact set re: the founding of Israel/Irgun. No need to go on about it in this forum. And as promised, I would be happy to read any books/articles/reports etc that you think might change my mind. What do you say?
"liberation theology does with Catholicism."
For more on "Liberation Theology" in operation, see "Haiti: The Next Cuba?"...

You are free to take your facts from a newspaper published by the Moonie cult - a cult that thinks Rev. Moon is Jesus Christ - over a Libertarian publication's analytical editorial.
see one post up...
Make that two posts up.

Taiwan's been the "Other Cuba".
I'm sure we've nothing to fear from the Most Favored Friends we've appeased at every opportunity nearly my entire life.
8 | Earlier this year Shaw was reportedly involved in a controversy involving the former Iraqi golden boy and now criminal, Ahmed Chalabi. The scandal involved the awarding of cell phone contracts to three companies with close ties to Chalibi. According to the L.A. Times, he was put under investigation by the FBI. (Originally posted by Destro in #51 as a "news article", where he failed to disclose that the actual source was the Libertarian Party national office.) |
You see, this is how slimy your Libertarian source gets.
Yeah, Shaw was "involved in the controversy", because he was the one that uncovered, disclosed and thwarted the controversy, which "involved the awarding of cell phone contracts to three companies with close ties to Chalibi".
Just as Jack Shaw was at the forefront in the uncovering of the Israeli spy network operating inside DOD this year and working closely with the FBI in prosecuting that case, so to was he DOD's point man in the case you so falsely presented here. And for this reason, Rumsfeld and DOD stand foursquare behind Jack Shaw.
But the one good thing your fraudulent post and responses did here, was to confirm that you are knowingly acting as the Libertarian Party's point man for spreading those despicable lies here on FR and intentionally undermining Bush's leadership in the GWOT.
"Libertarians are the enemy now", you ask? Hell yes they are!

Of course the Russians took the WMD's. All types.
We watched them do it. We listed what kinds of equipment they were taking out. We couldn't do anything, because the Dems and the UN were holding us up at the border, waiting for Saddam to comply. (waiting until the evidence of WMD's was gone).
Here is the briefing.
