The students who read Weekly Reader’s magazines have made their preference for President known: they want to send President Bush back to the White House.

The results of this year’s Weekly Reader poll have just been announced, and the winner is President Bush. Hundreds of thousands of students participated, giving the Republican President more than 60% of the votes cast and making him a decisive choice over Democratic Senator John Kerry.

Let me guess... this is yet another "poll" that has accurately predicted the winner of every Presidential election since 1996? :)

"Since 1956, Weekly Reader students in grades 1-12 have correctly picked the president, making the Weekly Reader poll one of the most accurate predictors of presidential outcomes in history."

So it was the kids behind Clintoon getting elected twice

Cameron Mouton, 6, casts his vote for president on an electronic voting screen at the Brooker Elementary School in Palm Harbour, Florida. The kindergarten student participated in Weekly Reader's presidential poll using a touch-screen voting machine – one of the only schools in the nation to do so.

16 is the year that you know everything and your parents are stupid. Most 10th graders are 16.

Well, at least Dubya got the readers instead of the cartoon watchers at Nick. ( Although I do enjoy an episode of Grim & Evil once and awhile myself.)

Of course they are...that's the point. The kids are repeating what their parents are saying and it appears a whole lot of parents with young children are voting for Bush.

"They've been right since 1956. Nice sign."

I think President G. H. Bush won this contest in 1992 and Bill Clinton still beat him.
