It was Roosevelt. But back then it was legal to keep on re-electing the President, because there was no limit on how many terms he could be elected to serve. You know that today a President cannot serve more than two terms, don't you? So Bush most certainly can be put out of office during a war, and he will be in 2009, even if he wins this election.

Oh I know that, exactly.

But you can't pull a President out of office during war time, and if they hit us between now and January, President Bush would have to stay in his seat.
