LOL a couple of these ladies look like they're about to pass out...like it's the 60s and they're seeing the Beatles. :)

How come nobody sees these types of crowds from kerry's events?

Maybe it's because they don't have any near this large, ever.

I don't have crowd-size estimates. Maybe someone could research the local media in these cities to get some estimates, although I personally wouldn't trust media estimates.

It is funny -- and amazing. A number of FReepers have noted that President Bush is like a rock star the way he draws such devoted crowds.

Yes Bush 41 going to Hawaii may be "prudent" :)

That's nearly a 48 hour round trip from the east coast.

The flight would take too long. 14 hours? If the Hawaii numbers showed this earlier, maybe, but it's enough of a distraction to jaunt to Florida.

I like the idea of GHWBush doing it, though. Good idea.

Interesting ... since GHWB was WWII Navy, flying off the San Jacinto, I wonder if he ever put in at Pearl.

LOL Reminds me of high school...at every game we'd sit near the top of the stands/bleachers and yell down, "Hey, you...with the shirt on!" Dozens of heads whipped around. Always killed me. :)

Cool! This Californian is envious, because I may never get to see him again. I saw then Gov. and Mrs. Bush the night before the California primary in 2000, when I was among a group of dedicated volunteers invited to Long Beach Airport to give him a rousing send-off back to Texas to await the next day's results. California did one good thing for our Dubya: we killed John McCain's candidacy once and for all that day.

Any truth to the rumor that there are 80K for Kerry in Madison today?

I attended the Saginaw Rally this morning. We made it a family event, taking my 4 kids out of school. Saginaw is STRONG democrat/union area. The place was packed. I estimate 8500 in attendance in an arena with only 7500 seats. About 1000 were on the stadium floor. We stood in line for an hour. Everyone was screened at the level of most airports. We were met with a handful of pathetic protesters. I did get a few photos. The two listed here are much better than mine. I was seated to the left of this photographer, but further away. Best part: seated directly behind Bush was a group of people wearing COPS FOR BUSH shirts. Great back drop for the photo op. I need to get one of those shirts! Apparently 2 protesters were arrested for failure to disperse. This was worth the time off work. My children got a great lesson in democracy in action and I got the best family time you could ask for.
