Ex-CENTCOM No. 2: Intel Showed Iraq Smuggled Out WMDs Sept. 26, 2004, NewsMax.com
Lt. Gen. Michael DeLong (USMC Ret.), who until last September was the No. 2 in command of the Iraq war under Gen. Tommy Franks, revealed Sunday that U.S. military intelligence had determined that weapons of mass destruction were being smuggled out of the country as the U.S. prepared to invade. "I do know for a fact that some of those weapons went into Syria, Lebanon and Iran," Gen. DeLong told WABC Radio's Steve Malzberg...
"Two days before the war, on March 17 [2003], we saw through multiple intelligence channels - both human intelligence and technical intelligence - large caravans of people and things, including some of the top 55 [most wanted] Iraqis, going to Syria," Gen. DeLong explained... (more) [go to link at top of posted article]

Strategery...
I wouldn't count on NYT to do that. But I think that a Bush campaign ad that starts with Kerry's 1971 Senate Testimony - followed by Kerry's attacks (indirect) on our military over the explosives this week - followed by declassified photos - followed by Kerry taking tough on WMDs, then saying wrong war, wrong time, wrong place. "President Bush ... consistent ... sound ... objective ... principled ... for your military ... for your safety."
Does a bear shit in the woods?
One would almost think it was planned this way, lol.
I'm thinking that way too.........if so, it is a master stroke by team Bush.
"Did Iraq have Weapons of Mass Destruction"?
Why anyone asks this question escapes me. Of course they did, click the link to see the horror of chemical weapons Saddam Hussein used on his own Iraqi citizens in Halabja Iraq in 1988. http://www.kdp.pp.se/chemical.html Just because we can't find them doesn't mean they don't exist, because they did, I mean we found Saddam in a bunker in the ground for god's sake. (why do I bother, partisan hacks of the media, AKA dumbocrats, are incapable of rational thought.)
Oddly, for someone who seems interested in whether Iraq had WMDs, you are ignoring the best evidence - Charles Duelfer's report.
According to the Comprehensive Report of the Special Advisor to the DCI on Iraqs WMD, 41 sarin/cyclosarin-filled rockets were found at a single site in Kyamisiayah, Iraq in June and July, 2004. http://www2.cia.gov/Iraqs_WMD_Vol3.pdf page 30
A total of 53 chemical munitions have been found in Iraq, according to the Duelfer report. The Iraqi Intelligence Services (M16) operated a series of clandestine laboratories in which biological agents were produced and tested ON HUMAN SUBJECTS (mid 1990's, after Gulf War I). You post a link to a site which seems interested in proving that WMDs were present in Iraq after Gulf War I, but you ignore the best evidence of this. Please help get the truth out!
I'm not taking offense here, but please don't assume anything about my ideas about Saddam and WMDs. I posted this website link because (though one of their topic headlines is misleading) the Web site is the posting of over 50+plus different articles citing facts and information as to Saddam Hussein actually having WMDs!
I and others posted many articles this morning, especially in regards to Bill Gertz's article in the Washington Times about the Russians helping Hussein smuggle his WMDs and other armnaments out of Iraq into Syria and elsewhere.
Here's the list:Bill Gertz's article in the Washington Times:
Russia tied to Iraq's missing arms
