>>Reporters talking to ABC News radio less than 30 mins. ago indicated John Kerry has stopped talking about this issue tonight. Another reporter indicated that it looks like Kerry has gone over the edge taking CBS and NYT with him.<<

SO who are the real losers?
The French ... and the leftists in the democratic party who bet the house on a war hero, only to see him turn out to be a war whore.

I didn't realize the final IAEA inspection was closed.
The IAEA was had in North Korea (Kerry blamed Bush for that, too), just makes too much sense Saddam did too being the UN was enabling him.

I think the who UN inspector group is corrupt. Blix, ElBaradei, rememeber they had Scott Ritter. I know that is why Bush wants ElBaradie out, because he thinks he's been helping Iran and didn't go after Libya. That is why ElBaradei sent the memo about the "missing explosives".
I think Bush new this before we went into Iraq and he was probably very upset about having to wait because he knew all of these weapons were being taken out under the UNs noses and he had "to play the diplomatic route" first.

If only England hadn't joined the EU. Their hands will be tied in a lot more ways now. Putin definitely has more empathy with us than Chirac (I would think) after BeslinAbsolutely\

Just a thought about being in bed with Islamists. Assad and Syria are not Islamists anymore than hussein was. I would think they would be as afraid of the Islamist crowd as Russia.
One thing I remember is that Czarist Russia played convoluted games of intirgue both against Britain in the Northwest indian Terr. and the Ottomans. Alliances switched often, Could Putin be playing a new Great Game?

I believe this is why Putin was called to the ranch early on.... I believe this is the meeting at the ranch where President Bush and Putin became very sociable. Wasn't this the time President Bush gave Putin the cowboy hat that he accidentally wore backwards and President Bush called him "Rutin Tutin Putin"...
I know that Putin endorsed Bush 7 days ago and I think they truly have a cordial relationship.

I'm watching the re-run of Larry King with Saffire saying CBS's plan to run with the story next Sunday was scandalous because it wouldn't give the admin. time to correct the record and the NY Slimes was correct in breaking it when they did. Maureen Dowd doesn't agree and said we should be concentrating on where the 380 tons went, rather than whether the story broke on a Monday or next Sunday.
Biden asking what relevance does it have whether it was broken by NY Times or CBS and questions if the WH knew they were missing last year, why didn't he tell us. Biden and Dowd not giving an inch and if Gertz's story proves true, Biden's concern should not be losing the Secty. of State position undoubtedly promised, but another term in the Senate.
