Nothing further. Freaking Russians ...
Put the subs out to sea. Run silent and deep.
A lot of strange things popped out of Kerry's mouth during the debates, but I don't think any of them were accidental. Among the oddities were repeated references to cleaning up Russia's nuclear weapons, and another reference to materials stolen from ammo dumps in Iraq. Not exactly hot topics before he brought them up.
What if this intel (Russia/Iraqi weapons) was classified, and Kerry used them, knowing that Bush wouldn't or couldn't respond?
Post of the day!
Thanks for the update. I had not heard that. All I know is that there were a lot of VERY nervous tankers around me when this was reported in Stars and Stripes and Army Times.
Welcome to FR -- EXCELLENT post!
I hear ya.
I was just ready to turn in. Unggghhhh! (but in a good kinda way) (;
I can only surmise it is because they (as well as France) had so many billions invested in Saddam. Now that he's gone and Putin sees we're committed to the war effort, Putin probably sees his best chance of keeping the money and the oil flowing in supporting Bush and getting the Middle East settled. He knows if Kerry comes into office, the Middle East will become another pit of snakes and rats and he'll lose even more.
That was Rubin, I believe. he has had a hard night.
He'll run them, and the left will still believe him.
This is shaping up to be an interesting week:
1. The Russians get exposed again for their role in Iraq / Terrorism
2. Arafat may die (The sooner the better)
3. The Red Sox win the World Series for the first time since 1918
4. George W. wins his second term as POTUS
Nevermind, even though the thread was yanked by the mod, I could get my post back and I'd copied the link. Here is the story about Russians being in Iraq just before we invaded.

Associated Press
WASHINGTON - Nearly two months after the seizure of a Russian school left hundreds dead, the State Department on Wednesday warned Americans visiting or living in the country that "there remains a heightened potential for terrorist actions, including attacks against civilians."
In extending its warning through March 2005, the State Department said that Russia's security situation "is likely to continue for some time" and that Americans should take precautions to avoid becoming a random victim of another attack.
Not if the BBC is reporting that Putin plans to make an announcement, or so I read above.
IMHO, this is why Bush was so pissed during the first debate. IMHO, other Dems pushing the same no WMDs are also on select committees privy to basically the same info. This has the potential of destroying the Democrat Party as we know it.
Will do, and in the meantime I will do my best to pass info along.
I am now reduced to talking with strangers in the check-out, but most seem interested.
I just use a few talking points of my own depending on the news, but I get a rise out of most when I talk about Kerry's mansions and $6000 bikes!
"I may be slow but I just don't get it. What would motivate the Ruskies to join up with a losing cause like Saddam? If they had to do "cleanup" work, why didn't they complete it much earlier in the months leading up to the war instead of just the immediate weeks before? How could the Russians and Saddam's men spirit away a couple hundred tons of explosives over several hundred miles just before the war despite constant surveillance (satellite and what not) by the US forces that focused on known arms depots and the borders with surrounding countries? Just seems too out of left field for me. Maybe I am missing something but I will wait for someone from the Bush camp to confirm this before I take it anymore seriously."
My understanding is that there was activity at Al QaQaa spotted by sattelite before the invasion, and that the Pentagon is deciding whether to release the images.
Especially when Russia is mentioned!

Given the stunned reaction of Bush, I'd say you're right on the money. Kerry was letting state secrets fly, on television, with the whole nation watching.
