No, I think the briefings would be on Monday. And they would be carefully worded (to the point of almost downplaying concerns) so that the current admin could not be accused of scaring voters away from the polls. Besides, they don't want democracy to be bullied by terrorist threats.
Another thing: outside of Absentee Voters, this is the FIRST year I ever heard of the polls being opened a week or two early. How about you?

They've had early polling where I live in Arizona for a long time. Always at least two - three weeks before election.
True. . .but then there are our home grown terrorists aka the current Demrat Party who are threatening Democracy and our Constitution. . .by all means possible.
