Actually seeing DU posters ask if they should be afraid is comforting. They are really human beings like us, and if some of them can see this as something to be worried about (we all have families) then imagine the effect on the rest of the country.

I doubt DU'ers actually understand the seriousness of this, and it's OBVIOUS that New York didn't learn it's lesson as it is STILL A BLUE STATE. NJ and PA are on the edge of red day to day, so SOMEONE over there, DOESN'T GET IT. To liberals, winning this election, putting in their trolls on the USSC is ALL THAT MATTERS NO MATTER WHO HAS TO DIE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN.

And DU isn't like Free Republic as far as membership. Very few, in comparison, post on the site. A thread with lots of replies will have maybe 150, most threads only have 20 or 30 replies.
I haven't been over there, but those who have discounted or believed that the terrorist threats levels were just a Bush ploy to gain votes (like Duers), would probably be more rattled by a "tangible" threat (like a verified tape) than those of us who really believe that the terrorists want nothing more than to destroy American, whether Bush or Kerry is President.
