SOLDIERS don't beg. But an old friend of mine who's still in uniform came close the other day. He badly wanted me to write another column before Election Day stressing that our troops are winning in Iraq. He's an Army veteran of three wars. Now he's working to help Iraq become a democratic model for the Middle East. And he's worried. Not about terrorists or insurgents. He's afraid John Kerry will be elected president. "Kerry's rhetoric is giving the bad guys a thread to hang on," he wrote. "They're hoping we lose our nerve. They're more concerned with the U.S. elections than with the Iraqi ones."

Mr. Peters is right on the mark. I have believed exactly the same thing as he has so expertly and accurately pointed out in this article. I also believe that John Kerry and the "traitor" Democrat Party have enabled, encouraged and abetted the enemy in Iraq and around the world. If John Kerry wins the POTUS next Tuesday, it will be a clear signal to the "terrorists" that they have won. First, Iraq will come apart, they will slaughter our military, and begin the assualt on the USA directly. Fact is: John Kerry was a traitor and guilty of treason during the Vietnam war and he is a traitor and guilty of treason this very day. He should not be running for POTUS. He should be lanquishing in a cold damp prison cell, along with his Democrat "traitor" cohorts. American voters, you better wise up. There is more at stake during this election then you know!!!

The terrorists are pulling out all the stops to shed blood in Iraq this week.

Correct. And our troops are positioning for a little social call in Falluja. The terrorists are trying to pull a Tet, knowing full well that the vast majority of media worldwide is aching to report one.

We need to remain determined. A Nixon victory in 1972 and the subsequent Christmas bombing campaign very nearly won us the war in Vietnam until we were talked out of it by propaganda and incessant defeatism. That's the game plan this time around as well.
