Hang on, poll-weary Americans, Election Day is almost upon us.
The latest presidential polling numbers sent to Inside the Beltway range from a virtual dead heat to the most lopsided results we could find: an IncrediMail poll that gives George W. Bush 74.4 percent to John Kerry's 25.6 percent (no margin of error listed).

Never forget the fable of the "Tortoise and the Hare"
We cannot, and we must not, fall asleep! We must keep advancing, moving forward all the time. Get everyone, everywhere that is for GW to get to the polls!
Every city, borough, township, town, parrish, etc.
Get all GW supporters to the polls! Let's make this happen!!

My personal favorite is an old one, although I'm not sure whom to credit. But it says:
Never underestimate the stupidity of the American voter.

Polls show it even and Dubya finally did an ad buy there. Hadn't heard about the GOP HI ad buy. Is there a thread floating around here?

There was talk of a Bush landslide four years ago and we got by the skin of or teeth leaving the Dims to squeal, "we wuz' robbed!" for all this time. No time to get over confident. Hopefully we can make a decisive victory and the DU'ers can go back to their cave fires.

I am encoruaged by this. Anyway, what is your feeling about the polls in swing states? I am concerned about the possibility of voter fraud going on in FL and OH.

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out. As far as state polls, I think they're battling it out on Bush's side of the 50-yard line (in Dem territory). In addition to the recently publicized HI and NJ polling results, we've seen Kerry stop advertising in CO. So we're down to NH, ME, FL, OH, PA, MI, IA, MN, WI, OR and NV (forgive me if I missed one). Bush has many more realistic combinations to reach 270 than Kerry does. As I have from the beginning, I like Dubya's chances.
Having said that, the polls are close enough that impressive (D) turnout and/or a slight shift to Kerry could result in John Fonda winning.

Another truism is that people always want to vote for the likely winner. Hence the desperate Kerry spin. If people would just vote their conscience regardless of the polls, Bush will win, and losers will sue.
