Scott Peterson's Defense Could Rest Tuesday Scott Peterson's defense team could rest its case Tuesday.
On Monday, his lawyer called on Peterson's mother to try to explain why he had nearly $15,000 in cash on him when he was arrested. She says she gave him back $10,000 that she accidentally withdrew from his account.
His lawyer also questioned police about whether someone else could have been responsible for the death of Scott's wife, Laci, and her baby.
Prosecutors say he killed her and dumped her body into the San Francisco Bay nearly two years ago.

only a concrete expert who took concrete sprinkles from the covena driveway a month ago, an accountant who doesn't include taxes into the bottom line, a doctor who uses baby shower chatter to draw medical inferences, and two parents making whopping excuses for their grown son...
Hmm...I'm going to bet he has been in the courtroom so he can get back on TV after the verdict. Might be fun to see if he back peddles on all the drivel he'd been selling up until the day he got gagged.

Typical Geragos....the Petersons should have checked out his track record before spending all that $$ on him. Should have stuck with the public defender....would have gotten good lawyering instead of a big mouth media wh*re empty suit who ran out of their money long before the state's case was over. And the state will point out what was promised by the defense in openings, in case they have forgotten. Instead of a vigorous defense, they got a million dollar horse and pony show.
I was saying last week that the character witnesses should not take up too much time....Scott has no friends to reference.
No sympathy for the parents - for them to lie as they have about the money and other things in scott's car, blow him kisses, and make excuses for his behavior explains how he became the sociopath that he is.
I hope his siblings seek help.
