GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) Tuesday marks a milestone for John Kerry, when the man who has often been at his best while giving a formal speech delivers the last one planned for his presidential campaign.[snip]
Kerry tries to break up all the serious talk with some lighter local references. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.
"I called Sander Levin," Kerry told a Michigan audience Monday night, referring to the hometown congressman. "And I said I was running for the highest office in the land. He said that's great, but I don't really know why you want to be Michigan football coach."
The wisecrack brought some laughter. It also brought some boos from the rival Michigan State fans. "Or state," Kerry added. "Or whatever."

YAY!!!!
Let's hope it'll be the last campaign speech he ever gives, anywhere!
please. He will be campaigning until November 4th
THE BIG QUESTION I WOULD LIKE TO SEE ASKED OF KERRY: "Senator Kerry, when you say you defended this country as a young man and you will defend it as commander in chief, does that mean that, if elected, you will defend it for four months and then attack it for the next thirty years?"
From now until Nov. 2nd. Tahreeza will be giving the speeches!!!

Oooo, that made friends.
I took note of all the fine points of the Bush rally in New Port Richey the other day. NPR is a small town and it was a relatively small rally (7000) compared to the huge ones in stadiums and elsewhere.
Yet, one could see the enormous amounts of money that had to be spent on this event right down to smaller items such as free water, signs, noisemakers, chair rentals, etc.
Perhaps Kerry is husbanding the last of his campaign dollars for a few more TV ads or a 6-day trip to Aruba for his wife.
Absolute great question!
God does answer prayers. Thank you Jesus!
Oooo, that made friends.
Dale Carnegie he ain't.
But there's a formality in the way that Kerry speaks, even when he's saying something as casual as this. He says the phrase slowly and carefully pronounces each word, so it doesn't sound like it would if it came from a friend or a teammate who made the promise in a huddle.
Kerry's going to be a happy man when this campaign is over. He will then be able to return to the days when interacting with people was a nuisance instead of a necessity.
Yea it has to be the $$. Do we honestly think Kerry is just going to sit on his hands and "relax" because he wants to the last week before elections? If this man can't handle his own finances...do people think he can fix the nation's???
Touche' LOL
oops french--e gads!
Thurston Howell tries to be a "regular guy"! ha!
"egad, lovey! Here Here, I believe I've step in it again with the commoners."
If Lurch must try to talk about sports, he should stick the Polo finals or the Lacross championship.
Highest office in the land? Coach of a college football team? Wait a second, Ohio STate doesnt want this loser as its coach!!
Go Bucks!!!
Amen and Amen

The DNC and the attorneys already took their cut. On election day the account balance will be zero. The books will be burned and no audit trail will be available.
If we need yet another reason to vote against him.....
MY QUESTION: "Senator Kerry, how about that Bruins game last night? What do you think of their chances this year?"
