There is specific behavior a troll displays that is key. The fact that they are a newbie is just the clincher. By no means are all newbies trolls, just those newbies that do troll things like posting crap "articles" and then disappearing, never returning to defend their post. Or posting something like "I voted for Bush in 2000, but now I can't vote for him........

For what is worth, I am not a troll - I am the wife of a Viet vet that signed up here after reading "Unfit for Command" and after this site got so much publicity from the Rathergate story.

Now, I am sorry if you didn't like my post, but I doubt there is anyone here that wants Kerry defeated any more than I. In fact, I come here looking for ways to get the message out about Kerry's Vietnam history.

I just feel that the "average voter" doesn't become as informed as internet users, and are more likely to vote from emotion instead of facts. The NYT stories will play on those emotions.

BTW, I have never started a thread, and I do appreciate the wonderful give and take on this website. I just wish you didn't have to be so rude.

But if there are nuclear weapons in Iraq, doesn't they pretty much confirm WMDs were there all along? I'm not getting it......

That's the Dim Paradox in a nutshell, gang. Good luck to them trying to spin this.

Can y'all please ZOT this schmuck -- KayEyeDoubleDee -- for me?

Thanks!

Post#289 refers to me, as does another from this jerk, and it's not too nice.

I'm optimistic with good reason. You can go ahead and be miserable for the next week but I choose to keep the faith.

I tried to get this thread pulled, too.

Then you are an authoritarian thug. How could you possibly not want people to be informed about the crap that the mainstream media is going to try to use to screw Bush? You don't think people here can make up their own minds without your help?

Are you the kind of jerk that takes down political signs that you don't agree with?

Yup, and I am sure they are all over here laughing at how big this thread is and watching us fight amongst one another.

I am still a newbie too and find this place to be a refuge. I would hate to see other newbies get penalized because of a bunch of desperate dems who know Kerry is a dork and don't really like him themselves.

Can they make it so newbies can't start new threads instead of not letting them join? Just a thought.

It happens every election and every big news cycle. It's nothing to get excited about. They may be a nuisance (kinda like terrorists to John F'n Kerry), but I guarantee you there is NO troll or newbie alive in this world that's going to make me change my mind about anything. And I seriously doubt they're gonna change your mind or any other FReeper's mind. We keep a few around as humorous pets, but ZOT most of them to save bandwidth and pixels.

Be careful how you do that. If it looks like ketchup and/or mustard on the cover, people will consider it an autographed copy!
