That is really a strange layout for the ballot. Why is the Republican candidate listed last? In Texas, the order in which candidates are listed on ballots is determined by the rank order of the results of the previous governors race. Since the Republicans won and the DemocRATS came in second, Republicans are listed first, then DemocRATS, then libertarians.
Every ballot in the entire state of Texas is required to follow this rule! Considering Ohio has a Republican governor, the Republican candidates would appear first if the Texas rule were adopted.
