We just got a tip......that a major newspaper will break a front-page story Monday morning that could create a serious problem for the Kerry campaign. We don't yet have any details, but it relates to a foreign policy issue, and it will call into question--amazingly enough--John Kerry's truthfulness.
We'll watch for the story Sunday night and post it as soon as it becomes available.

I just hope it's not a social/private issue. I think the country has had its fill of prying into the private lives of the candidates, and anything seen as a "dirty trick" having to do with a candidate's family could flop.
I find it interesting that you did not dismiss the KLA theory. I think this is going to be a connection between the Kerry campaign and terrorist groups, such as the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, KLA or similar entity.
And, I think that ties in with the current wolf campaign ad. Albania and Kosovo are called the wolves by their neighbor, Macedonia. And, we all remember where Holbrooke and Albright were on that one. Also, one of the leading terrorist organizations is the Chechen "Mountain Wolves" with strong Islamofascist ties.
But I believe the source is the Hillary-camp and the target is the regular Democrat for the purpose of not electing Kerry and keeping him out-of-the-way in 2008 for Hillary. In that scenario, any credible allegation that would amount to a "hot button" would do, e.g. a Democrat recounting Kerry speaking out against Jews, appearing in black-face, excluding homosexuals, etc.

Did you watch the Dutch documentary that I linked, because I am sure that if they met with the KLA, they met with others as well.

LOLOL! Truly, I don't know either and am very much looking forward to finding out. All I can contribute to the speculation is the possible connection between a main stream media anti-Kerry front-pager and Dowd's assertion that major Democrats have given up on Kerry and are looking forward to Hillary in 2008.
Can you tell me if the story is about Kerry's foreign affairs people meeting with representatives of other countries, such as shown in the Dutch documentary? Or, is this a separate scandal?

Watch the video of the Dutch documentary. It clearly shows Holbrooke and Clarke carrying on shadow negotiations with the KLA.

I hate to be a skeptic when there is so much excitement out there. I hope there really will be something, but I think we ought not get our panties all up in a bunch. Sometimes something that seems like "big news" turns out to be a huge disappointment. We also have to keep in mind that they probably have something in the bag too. Let's just hope ours is bigger than theirs.
I will be seeing W in Greeley, CO tomorrow. If something does break, hopefully it will add fuel to his speech!

Kerry advisors supporting the Serbs to go against this nice family? Is that what the video was about?
The film is devestating. The KLA people talk about the corruption in the US gov't and how all you have to do is give them money and they will do what you want. They also talk about buying arms from US gun shops, saying that the shop owners are mostly right wingers and that all you have to do is tell them that you need the arms to fight the communists and they will sell you anything that you want. They have video of the guy in a gun shop and checking the guns at an airport, through US Air. I don't thing that USAir goes to Europe though.
