Be very scared of the draft, if Kerry wins

Subject: Be very scared of the draft, if Kerry wins.

Be very scared of the draft, if Kerry wins and you or anyone you love is of draft age. Kerry winning will very likely end up causing a draft; the reasons are because the military is spread thin, Kerry has alienated our alliances, and Halliburton has said over and over that if they don’t have enough protection for their employees they will pull out. So, lets see what will more likely happen if Kerry is elected.

First of all, Kerry has alienated our alliances. These countries will more likely start pulling their troops out. THIS MEANS WE WILL BE THAT MANY MORE TROOPS SHORT.

Second, Halliburton will pull out because their employees will not have enough protection. This means that military personnel will have to fill these thousands of empty job positions. THIS MEANS WE WILL BE THAT MANY MORE TROOPS SHORT.

Third, the military is already spread thin. THIS MEANS KERRY AS PRESIDENT WILL HAVE TO BRING BACK THE DRAFT. This can cause another Vietnam and thousands of lives lost, because Kerry will want to save face. Remember he said, “Just because Bush couldn’t do the job doesn’t mean that he can’t do the job.”

NOTE: Right now, the United States is training Iraq troops so that they can take over and we can bring our soldiers back home. I hope that we can be smart enough on Nov 2nd to give the Bush Administration the opportunity to accomplish this goal. This is a heart felt message from Sadie.

So military service is fine for others. Just not you.

You're right, Kerry will have no choice but to go to a draft.

An old pay scale doesn't have much to do with anything. Besides, enlistees and draftees are payed the same. As far as it being a professional military, under a draft, draftees are tested right along with enlistees at induction. If someone wants to low-ball a test then they eliminate themselves from options.

Scary world under Kerry/Hillary. We just don't have the luxury anymore of futzing around, trying this or that inducement with hostile countries. A Kerry victory means many more horrendous attacks here. Hobbled by the UN, our economy would be in ruins, and we'd be the UN's pet poodle military, sent here, there, and everywhere to die where our national interest isn't engaged. Protection of the US would be out of the question. We need an Oct. surprise that nails Kerry's hide to the wall no matter how much voter fraud they try.

Congress would have to approve the reinstitution of the draft and any increase in troop end strength. Kerry couldn't unilaterally insititute the draft.

There won't be a draft no matter who is elected, so people here can take a deep breath and stop worrying about how they'll look in camoflage. The pool of available draftees is many times larger than the needs of the military. The alternative service options are more trouble than they're worth. It makes good headlines for political purposes but it's never going to become reality.

Having said that, the Bush administration is running the military into the ground with their insane over-extension of available resources. They have done nothing to reduce commitments or increase the number of units available for deployment. The Abraham Lincoln just redeployed less than 16 months after returning from her last marathon deployment. Know how much time she spent tied up to her pier in her home port since her return 16 months ago? About 4 weeks. The results of this won't be felt until after the election. If stop-loss is ever dropped you're going to see a lot of mid-level NCOs and commissioned officers leaving, the reserves and the National Guard will lose valuable people, and may leave us unable to take on any future military requirements.

I don't think that those Kerry supports think about anything that makes sense, even an Oct surprise will probably not change their minds. I wish it would, but the swift boat veterans have already shown them what a traitor he is and they still back him. I think that the only time they will see the light is when and if Kerry ends up drafting them and they are fighting for their lives, but then it will be too late.

I highly doubt that our troops would quit and leave those they are protecting in the lurch at a time like this. They will hate serving under Kerry, but their duty to protect us and each other will keep them there until all the troops come home.

This is wishful thinking. Kerry will try to save face, he says, "Just because Bush couldn't do the job, doesn't mean I can't." Kerry will have to re-enstate the draft to do the job.

If Kerry wins we need to split the country up immediately. Bad news does not improve with age.

I have several coworkers with teen children and they are for Kerry. If he slithers his way into the White House it will be pretty scary. But when he imposes a draft I will be the first to say to these women "I told you so!"

Start printing up the "Dont blame me, I didnt vote for Kerry" stickers. ;-)

It's sad to think that our country would be more split than it is. Right?

You keep saying Kerry will reinstate the draft.

1) He ain't getting elected, and
2) It won't be done by Executive Order.

I know what you're saying, these people who are for Kerry are just unreachable. I think that they are going for him only because he is rich, the rich have such an impressionable influence on people nowadays. It is so sickening.

I tell you all those equity loans these people took out to keep up with the Joneses, if Kerry is elected, these people will have have a nightmare on their hands. These loans are Federally funded and when the Federal interest rates go sky high they will not be able to pay for these loans. These people will be homeless. Where will Kerry be then?

"He!! no, we won't go". And that goes for any other form of "community service" that sKerry might have up his sleeve. However, I'll gladly enlist in Heston's army. :)
