Britain's geologists are about to celebrate the fact that the universe is exactly 6,000 years old.

Huh? 4004 + 2004 = 6007 (minus the zero year). Good grief.

However, I think the time scale may be just a wee bit off. 12 billion years old is a little closer to the mark.

12 billion years old is a little closer to the mark.

In theory, but can it be proven as a matter of fact?

King Herod the Great certifiably died in the year known as 4 BC, so whenever Christ was actually born it was before then. The error slipped into the chronology early and wasn't discovered until the current dating system had been in use for some centuries.

I have a theory that works out better than all the rest. It just happens to line up with the Bible and science.

God was in a very big hurry those first few days. All the physical laws were accelerated beyond our current uniform observations. Light crossed the universe with the spread of His Almighty hand. Geology was affected by those accelerated laws making it like a molten meringue on the pie He would one day send His Son.

The pottery wheel was spinning a lot faster than the one today.
