I can relate to your point. I would however support doing this and here's why: This is a showing in a public forum funded 100% by tax payer money. That's the difference. If this were a privately funded business or organization like say Barnes and Noble we'd be wrong to try and stop those showings IMHO. You might see it as slight but it's sort of a big deal to me. Sensorship? The Library used that same word when they promised to let every child into the movie so that they would not be accused of sensorship! "R ratings only apply to the movie industries and not the libraries" is what the head librarian told me. That's why.
