A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 10.21.04
yahoo.com, whitehouse.gov

Posted on 10/21/2004 6:12:35 PM PDT by rintense

Joined by daughter Barbara, President Bush headed to the battleground state of Pennsylvania for a series of campaign stops. While in Pennsylvania, the President met with Roman Catholic Cardinal, His Eminence Cardinal Justin Rigali, at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Downingtown. First Lady Laura and daughter Jenna headed to new Hampshire to also campaign for the President. Earlier in the day, Bush signed the Garrett Lee Smith Memorial Act. The act authorizes the spending of $82 million for youth suicide prevention programs at college campus mental health centers. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

That's great news to me! Hopefully the teens election results will reflect the parents. I know when I was in school and we had mock elections my vote would always be what my parents were voting. Especially those swing states, we need those results.

I think there will be some "D"s not voting at all...or voting for Bush when they are in the privacy of the voting booth.....(On that list are several Senators with "D" behind their names...who know Kerry's work(?)...Have not seen any of them campaigning with him...Have you?)

You know, esther, I haven't seen any polls on Issue 1, but I'm pinging a few folks who might have.

Ohio is morally conservative as a rule, and Christians have been very energized to get out and vote, so I'm assuming it will pass handily......but I don't have anything in particular to back that up.

Anybody else up to speed on it?

I have a good digital, but I wasn't too far. The crowd was enormous, considering the wet, blustery day.

I like seeing the President in his suit too. I don't think they should photograph him at his ranch in a suit, or at the tee-ball games on the WH lawn. He just looks very good, confident, and comfortable in a suit. IMHO, he looks like a president should. He's appears comfortable with people of all walks of life, and he doesn't have to dress down to prove that. It's hard for the media and his adversaries to dress him down when he wears a suit so well.

%%%%%

A few months ago President Bush held a rally in Maine, where he appeared in shirtsleeves. Then he went on board a charter plane that was taking troops to Iraq, and had stopped in Maine for refueling. He put on a white shirt, tie and jacket to greet his troops as Commander-in-Chief. He was respecting the men under him and the office of president when he did that. He knows more than Kerry the effete snob will ever come close to knowing about honor and respect.

You know, mystery, I don't tend to follow polls TOO closely (other than here on FR), but I can tell you this..........the people in the campaign are working HARD and are confident and upbeat.

I have a feeling the inside polls may be good.

So why was ted kennedy in this picture. Was he getting leverage to hold against President Bush? I'm a native of Louisiana, been in Texas 34 years. I agree with you about condi2008. Hope that can happen and wouldn't it be great if it was against hillary?

I have given up on her and Janey, back again. She is a typical lawyer, thinks she knows it all.

Dan Rather at it again. He has just mentioned that Haliburton will most likely get it disputed payments because the Pentagon states that as they are due to them under a war condition not during peace so different rules apply.

So far so good but then he has to go on to mention Cheney as former CEO and of course pension payments. He can't even get that right as they are deferred payments which Cheney has taken an insurance policy out against so that he cannot be accused of favouritisium to Haliburton because he gets paid whatever happens to Haliburton.

Also what again with Cheney is conveniently forgotten is that he has irrevocable signed over his Haliburton stock via blind trust to charity which if the stock market performs well could be up to 7 million dollars. He did not have to do this a Vice President he did so that he could not be accused of a conflict of interest.

Rant over
