A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 10.21.04
yahoo.com, whitehouse.gov

Posted on 10/21/2004 6:12:35 PM PDT by rintense

Joined by daughter Barbara, President Bush headed to the battleground state of Pennsylvania for a series of campaign stops. While in Pennsylvania, the President met with Roman Catholic Cardinal, His Eminence Cardinal Justin Rigali, at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Downingtown. First Lady Laura and daughter Jenna headed to new Hampshire to also campaign for the President. Earlier in the day, Bush signed the Garrett Lee Smith Memorial Act. The act authorizes the spending of $82 million for youth suicide prevention programs at college campus mental health centers. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Greta and her face lift drive me nuts. I can't concentrate on what she's saying because of the weird way she looks. Plus, she's obsessed with Michael Jackson, Kobe, or the Peterson trial. If she'd do some REAL news, then I'd consider watching her . . . otherwise I'm like you and head for "alternative" programming like TLC or Discovery.

So my mother-in-law's prediction that Kerry will win because people don't want a Republican House and the Senate as well as the President is not true? I don't think most people think ahead that far--HAHA>

I feel a peace about the election . . .no matter how it goes, it will be God's will. WHat I fear the most is a big battle like there was in 2000.

When the Pres. wins, my husb. and I are going to get Bush/Cheney shirts to wear to my cousin's wedding that weekend--a bunch of the family up there is really liberal--but my grandparents are definitely conservative . . . should lead to interesting conversation.

Do you think it will be decided and "official" Nov. 2???

Of course I feel terrible about what happened, but frankly I'm sick of hearing about it. There are sure as heck a lot of other stories out there, stories just as tear jerking and touching. I'm just sick of it. I can't believe she can't find anything else to talk about. I think she's hooked on smarmy stories involving (to some people) good looking men.

I believe Bush will get over 400 electorial votes and there will be no contesting the election. Kerry will concede the election before 12 midnight

You think he'll actually concede? I mean, common sense says he will, but there is no common sense about the man. One of his reps said today he's going to declare victory if it's the least bit close. OTOH, 400 electoral votes isn't exactly close, is it? :-)

If he attempts to fight it if the margin is that great, do you think his lawyers and the people of America will shame him out of it?

I think the polls will show it extremely close up election day. I think many poeple might intend to vote for Kerry, even until they walk into the voting booth, and then give one more thought to what is at stake . . . and ultimately make the right decision.

So, should I go ahead and buy my in your face "Bush got elected and Kerry" is an idiot t-shirts??? LOL!

For the past few months tens of dozens of DNC kids on the
street corners here in San Diego not only to register but
their talking point to give money for the attys. they
will be fielding. Its all about the attys. Look for a lot
of dirty stuff, also hear Kerry will declare winner regardless. I think this is another way of saying a coup.

"By next weekend the Pollsters will be forced to publish the real numbers, and those numbers are gonna show a landslide victory for George W. Bush."

Hugh Hewitt (and I) second your conclusion:
The RealClearPolitics' "average" of Bush's lead in the polls, which has gained wide currency in this year of wild swings, is at 3 points, but as the Harris Survey folks admitted yesterday, the turnout models drive the polls, and these models are guesses built upon voting data from before 9/11 which may be further corrupted by the resistance of subgroups to accurate sampling. I send you back to KerrySpot's collection of data from 2002 races in which the polls were not just wrong, but way wrong. In three Senate races in 2002 --in Minnesota, New Hampshire and Colorado, all states figuring heavily in this year's presidential contest-- pollsters, including Zogby, underestimated the Republican vote by 9, 8, and 8 points respectively. Try adding that correction to the current polling on a state-by-state basis.

Exactly. I'm sorry that Laci was killed. And certainly, when the trial is OVER, I want to know the outcome. But really, how does she make every day of a 70-some-odd day trial sound like there's breaking news? There's not! I thought what she was obsessed with was any trial of a famous or semi-famous person. She was all over the Lori Hacking case, Kobe Bryant, Scott Peterson...can't she get a life?! I don't mind hearing that something NEW has happened but every day, just because there's been another day in the trial, does not make it new.

When this happens, the democrats are gonna be looking for a scapegoat, and the long knives will brought out and it's gonna get ugly behind closed doors. Daschle will be voted out and the Democrats will be forced to accept the Agenda this President will have after this win

I've been avoiding saying what I really think because I'm afraid of jinxing it .. but remember in 2002 and Terry screaming about taking Jeb down and then having to eat his words???

I am sooooooooooooooo hoping that Kerry and the DNC are totally humiliated on Nov 2

***just because there's been another day in the trial, does not make it new.***

THAT'S EXACTLY what I mean!!! The other daily news shows can certainly manage to interveiw soemone new every day, and come up with some different stories. Why do they continue to pay her for the same stuff????

Reminding me . . . where is Geraldo??? HAven't seen him for awhile. I think they're trying to get rid of him . . . they keep sending him to war zones, cover the hurricanes . . . I watch just to see if it will be his "last story." LOL!

How's everything (job, Air Force, parents) going for you?

And what havoc will THAT cause in America? It will give the terrorists a great opportunity. I pray that MJ1288 is right and it will be an overwhelming landslide.
