PLEASE TELL ME WE WILL SOON BE SEEING CAMPAIGN COMMERCIALS WITH KERRY SAYING THIS:

In 1994, discussing the possibility of U.S. troops being killed in Bosnia, he (Kerry) said, "If you mean dying in the course of the United Nations effort, yes, it is worth that. If you mean dying American troops unilaterally going in with some false presumption that we can affect the outcome, the answer is unequivocally no."

This has also been reported on Rush and a caller made the point and Rush looked it up.

Sounds like his answer is meant in the context of the Balkans--he's ok with deaths if we go over on behalf of the UN, but not on our own. I don't think it's a statement of general principle (although I think Kerry does think this), and Kerry can point to his support of unilateral action on Iraq when Clinton was President.

Who needs an October Surprise when John Kerry's own mouth is the gift that keeps on giving.

I agree with you. I don't like when the other side takes quotes out of context, and I don't think we should be doing it either.

We have enough good reasons not to vote for Kerry.

REALLY? You can't be serious. It's the ONLY consistent position Kerry has.

The quote is about the effectiveness of American efforts without the blessing of the UN.

He, as do most Leftists, believes that America is weak and is growing weaker and that we therefore need the protection they believe is afforded by the Collective.

They are wrong on both points. We are not weak and ineffective when we put our minds and hearts into our actions. It is the Anti's, such as Kerry's antiwar actions regarding Vietnam, that makes us ineffective. It is the anit-American efforts of Leftists that hinder our effectiveness.

And there is no protection in the Collective save what the Collective deems is for ITS benefit. They would hang us out to dry the moment they decided it were best for them.

This man is unfit for command on both of these accounts.

Why did it take them this long to find a good Kerry quote like that. He's been in the Senate for 20 years. He should have all sorts of quotes and statements that can be used against him by now.

Even taken in context, it is WRONG!

<scratches head>

So it's ok if our men die if the UN is trying to affect the outcome, but not ok if the US is trying to affect the outcome?

That since the UN is made up of many nations they have passed the test to go in and fight but we as the USA cannot?

Not true. Kerry has consistantly supported the sucking of baby brains out as they are being born.

Kerry is an original peacnik. Kerry became a peacenik when he realized he could mortgage his Vietnam service for a political career, all he had to do was what the Democrats in Congress wanted him to do -- Hang their Vietnam war on Nixon's neck. He did. Kerry has a voting record to match, he has a 20 year record dumping on the US military. He is a UN worshiping hippie, through and through. Given the chance, Kerry will gladly transfer our sovereignty to the UN, piece by piece.

Why does Kerry want to be President of the US when he wants to turn everything over to the UN?
