TERESA: TEACHING ISN'T A 'REAL JOB' [10/20 12:19 PM]
From USA Today interview with Teresa Heinz Kerry:
Q: You'd be different from Laura Bush? A: Well, you know, I don't know Laura Bush. But she seems to be calm, and she has a sparkle in her eye, which is good. But I don't know that she's ever had a real job I mean, since she's been grown up.
What arrogance. Stunning, unmitigated arrogance!
From the White House:
Inspired by her second grade teacher, she earned a bachelor of science degree in education from Southern Methodist University in 1968. She then taught in public schools in Dallas and Houston. In 1973 she earned a master of library science degree from the University of Texas at Austin and worked as a public school librarian in Austin [until 1977].
Hey, teachers, librarians: Teresa Heinz Kerry says your work isn't a "real job"!
We can't all be ketchup heiresses, you know.
The ONLY upside to Kerry winning the White House is watching his wife make an ass out of him, herself and the rest of the country for four years.
Are you implyimg that being a gold-digger is not hard work?
"Mrs. Kerry doesn't know about Mrs. Bush's early resume; I doubt it was a conscious slap at teachers or librarians. She is actually saying that raising children is not a real job. That is the point to highlight.
It's a lose-lose situation for her now; she's offended teachers, librarians and housewives. That's a lotta offending!
Of course it is.
According to Carl Cameron on FNC she "forgot" about Mrs. Bush's important jobs as a school teacher and librarian.
Forgot...........my butt.
Classic CYA, in my opinion.
"This woman should have had some "emergency surgery" months ago, with a prolonged and difficult "recovery". She should have been kept out of sight and out of the voters minds."
I figure John has connections via Teddy to get the scoop on how old man Joe Kennedy succeeded in having his daughter lobotomized. John should consider this very seriously. Even a drooling skank would be better than Ta-raaay-za in her current life form.
I moved to provide my child with an education in a good school system.
I have always defended homeschoolers - but it is people like you that give homeschoolers a bad name with your tunnel vision of that being the ONLY possibility.
Get over it. And don't bother responding.
Thanks.........I'll check it out in a few minutes.........we're having a homework meltdown moment here at the moment.
The third on the list of Kerry's heroes was Max Cleland who lost his legs in 'nam as the result of alcohol -- beer, if I recall correctly. (He doesn't admire Charles Krauthammer, who is also wheelchair-bound due to an accident, but who has gone on to do noble things with his life.)
Oh, no! Best wishes!
I didn't even know that Krauthammer was wheelchair-bound until a few years ago. I had just thought he was scrawny. It's a pleasure to know that someone who is so physically challenged doesn't feel the need to trumpet it at every opportunity.
"I had forgotten that Mrs. Bush had worked as a school teacher and librarian, and there couldn't be a more important job than teaching our children."
So, basically, she's still saying that being a stay-at-home mom isn't a REAL job. Sheesh! She can't win on this one.
"I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me!"
(Princess Bride reference - sorry - couldn't resist!)
No apologies needed. Teresa apparently needs a little more help from Miracle Max on some days...
Krauthammer who is a doctor and who has studied stem cell research himself as a possible cure for himself, disagrees with Kerry on stem cell research.
I guess to be a hero to Kerry, you have to agree with his policies. No wonder Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt are not on the list.
Hi, 2J! I'm glad you got the ping.
Being married to a man who would be president, relishing her new found celebrity, whining about the long hours, fussing about not wanting to live in our precious White House (a comedown in her mind, a fishbowl, much less glamorous than her many homes) have made her loopy.
He is unfit to command a garbage truck and she is unfit to wear the title lady, much less 'first' lady.
