It's because we're just beginning to the health risks of chronic low-level inflammation, from arthritis to cancer to heart disease. They presented the results of their study and what it concludes and doesn't conclude. That's how science works. The disclaimers are good because it helps weed through the noise of a journalist who might not be scientifically informed.
