BALTIMORE (October 19, 2004) - Sinclair Broadcast Group (Nasdaq: SBGI) announced today that on Friday, October 22, 2004 at 8:00 p.m. WGME 13 will air a special one-hour news program, entitled A POW Story: Politics, Pressure and the Media. The news special will focus in part on the use of documentaries and other media to influence voting, which emerged during the 2004 political campaigns, as well as on the content of certain of these documentaries. The program will also examine the role of the media in filtering the information contained in these documentaries, allegations of media bias by media organizations that ignore or filter legitimate news and the attempts by candidates and other organizations to influence media coverage. Contrary to numerous inaccurate political and press accounts, the Sinclair stations will not be airing the documentary “Stolen Honor” in its entirety. At no time did Sinclair ever publicly announce that it intended to do so.

I received an e-mail from Bush/Cheney-04 today quoting Newsweek and CNN saying, in not so many words, how the media is "left," biased, and is going to try to throw the election in Kerry's favor.
This is egregious. Sinclair should air the whole thing. That's more than fair considering what "they" have done to "us."
Yeah, we know. Let's raise a stink about it. Get it talked about, anyway. Capisch?

Gillespie may be a wimp, but as I remember it, Bush did not want to be associated with the swifvets or the POW's. Not because he didn't believe them but to show that he did not initiate or encourage their activities.
However, you would think there would be conservateive orgs full of lawyers to combat the lefty facists. But I guess not.

I'm gonna order the DVD when I get paid this week. Since it won't be airing here anyway (Indiana) I want to see it. This is the only way, BUT I WILL OFFER TO SHOW THE DVD TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO SEE IT!
I did something even better! I went and bought some stock in Sinclair! The way I look at it.... either way the stock goes.. I will still win!! I think I will donate some more money to the Swiftvets in the name of all of the DUmmies who are trying to stop the viewing of this show. I am also going out to dinner at Arbys tomorrow - ( I love those Jo-mocha shakes-dont you?) and buying a a whole bunch of General Mills products on my way home. (Advertisers)
