Carter was elected before there was an internet, at the height of Old Media dominance, just after they had thrown out an elected president in a media coup called "Watergate".

"Had the British Parliament been a little more sensitive to the colonial‘s really legitimate complaints and requests the war could have been avoided completely"

Oh. My. God.

Yeah, we'd just be another Canada instead of the United States of American you idiot! We wouldn't be a free nation, we'd still be a British nation.

Maybe without a Revolutionary war, Britain would never have loosened the reigns for Canada, India, etc. The war set the scenario for the non-violent changes that followed. The relavent parallel is that the war in Iraq setup the non-violent changes in Libya up to today.

Ancient Chinese proverb says:

If you know nothing,
keep quiet,
lest you open your mouth and remove all doubt.

There is a big difference between us and the Canadians, Jimmy. We won our independence; the Canadians had it handed to them.

The Canadians still have some real men in the Prairie Provinces and Alberta, but when it comes to cleaning out a nest of vipers like Islamofacist Terrorists, it's the cowboy American who is first to answer the call.

With ifs and buts, one could put Paris and New York in a bottle. Britain probably went peacefuly with Canada and India because of America taking a military stand against British law enforcement in the first place ... end of story. THere is plenty of documentation of how America took away the British empire.

This Carter guy has to be the dumbest President we ever had. The Revolutionary War unnecessary? I guess Kerry thinks the Boston Tea Party was unnecessary because they should have just kept paying the taxes? King Kerry!

Had the British Parliament been a little more sensitive to the colonial‘s really legitimate complaints and requests the war could have been avoided completely, and of course now we would have been a free country now as is Canada and India and Australia, having gotten our independence in a nonviolent way.

Proof positive the Jimmah has a UN Koolaid substance abuse problem.

Sounds to me as though he's equating the U.S. colonies to modern-day terrorists.

Get the tar and feathers and force tea down the Torry's throat. Send Jimmy up to Canada where they didn't think a revolution which eventually brought us the Constitution was necessary either.

the Revolutionary War, more than any other war up until recently, has been the most bloody war we‘ve fought.

What an absolute idiot. The Civil War killed more Americans than all the following wars combined.

Stick with peanuts, Jim-uh. It's obviously all you know.

In fact before you open your trap again to speak, stick a fistful in your mouth. Then all we'd hear is, 'crunch, mumble, munch, drool.' It would give you a lot more credibility.

This man is a fly speck in the annals of history.
