Gore's bitterness
The Modesto Bee ^ | October 19, 2004 | JAY AMBROSE

Posted on 10/19/2004 6:44:40 PM PDT by NewMediaFan

Al Gore can't seem to discuss politics these days without letting loose with bitter, mean-spirited, ad hominem attacks on President Bush, as if that were somehow a substitute for rational discussion. In his latest effusion, he talked of Bush's "love of power for its own sake." He said the president had cloaked "an astonishingly selfish and greedy collection of economic and political proposals" in "phony moral authority" and was making a "radical effort to take what rightfully belongs to the American people" and give it to "the wealthy and privileged."

He added that whenever Bush sees a little old lady he runs over and kicks her in the leg.

OK, Gore didn't actually accuse Bush of the last item in that list, but it's a wonder he didn't, seeing as how no exaggeration seems past him.

Bush's love of power? What even many liberal commentators have seemed to understand is that if Bush had lost the last election or should lose this one, he would be at ease with himself. Did Gore himself take his loss in the 2000 election with equanimity? His behavior suggests differently.

As for all this nonsense about taking from the poor to give to the rich, it ought to be understood that the better-off families in America pay the bulk of the taxes in this country, and that the percentage paid by those at the top has been going up and up over the decades.

[snip]

Gore also made Bush's religious feelings out to be false. This is tricky ground on which to tread, unless, of course, Gore can see into a man's heart. It looks instead as if he cannot see past his own fury.

Maybe there are people out there who continue to take this former vice president and senator seriously. They shouldn't.

I always thought that Michael Moore would someday explode. Algore might beat him to it.

Everytime I see cousin Albert, he looks worse. He has gained 50 or so pounds. He has that red-faced, I'm having a heart attack right now look. His hair is uncombed. I believe the man is completely unhinged due to his hatred for President Bush. Albert Algore, Jr is very ill.

How did a senator from Tennessee who was the son of a senator from Tennessee lose the vote of his home state when he ran for president ?
That's what Algore cannot understand. It will haunt him for the rest of his life.

har·ri·dan Pronunciation Key (hr-dn) n. A woman regarded as scolding and vicious. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Possibly from French haridelle, gaunt woman, old horse, nag.]

Are you going to tell me that this doesn't sound like Howlgore?

Gore has lived the life of the wealthy and the priviledged so long he doesn't know the difference.

Let him come and live a year on a Western farm or ranch, and then see how wealthy and priviledged he really is.

These 2nd and 3rd generation babies of wealth and trust funds don't know what the real world is about.

Okie Dokie, now i get it, I guess.

I see you looked that up right fast there quickdraw. Otherwise you wouldn't have the full dictionary definition in your reply.

Anyway I meant to say that I couldn't stand Gore and it came out Kerry, which is also true.

I've been so concentrated on how the MSM, world and kerry will react to a Bush win, I hadn't even considered Gore.

Considering how losing the 2000 made him go mental, I'm not certain Gore could handle the knowledge of a decisive 2nd term for the President.

I suggest a straight jacket be prepared Nov. 2nd, just in case.

If the RATS truly believed that Bush had stolen the election from Gore, they would have nominated Gore this year by acclamation. The fact that Gore was told not to run again tells you everything you need to know about the truth of their claim that Gore was robbed.

Actually, Al Gore won his home state. Tennessee was never his home, but just an address and a Senate seat he inherited from his Daddy. (Yes, he did actually have to act rational and win it the first few times).

Al Gore was born and raised in Washington, DC. DC was always his home both physically, philosophically and psychologically.

Gore is shy of having a full deck. I watch him pontificate on TV on occasion and wonder WHEN he'll completely lose his anchor?

How did a senator from Tennessee who was the son of a senator from Tennessee lose the vote of his home state when he ran for president ?

Simple. He sold out his pro 2nd amendment birthright for a pot of white house VP gruel with the Clintons.

Once he sold off his honor, no one trusted him anymore.

At his latest speech this week, I couldn't help but conclude he might have a serious drinking problem: puffy, a pasty tone to the skin that turns to splotches of red when under stress, profuse sweating, etc. It's kinda sad, actually.

Gore has no one to blame but himself for his loss. He lost his home state of Tennessee and Bill Clinton's Arkansas. Those two states should have been in the bag for him. We know now how lucky we are he's not the Commander in Chief. His defenders will say he's unhinged over having the presidency stolen from him, but frankly I don't think he's the type of person who could handle pressure without going to pieces. I'll say again how lucky we are that he didn't become President Gore.
