Yes, but how do you explain that it seems like the cities who would be the most likely terror targets seem to be the one's going for skerry?

I'm not buying the "its going to be a close one" bit.

This is coming from the same medai that proclaims "the second debate was a tie"

It's the lefties trying to make themselves get some sleep at night before Nov. 2

I predict 38 states for W. Have from the beginning and the polls aren't disputing it.

I'm calling it for Bush with 57% of the vote.

Because those cities are traditionally democratic strongholds... and even the fear of death can't cause someone to let go of their political ideology in an election year...

I'm with you on this...the terror card trumps them all. Apparently 9-11 is too far away in people's minds to remember just how far we have come.

I think you would be hard pressed to find a job making less than 7 dollars an hour.

I just got into it with one of these tripe on another board.

Apparently, I am an idiot who is falling for the fear mongering put forward by the "real axis of evil" Bush, Rumsfield and Cheney.

And then the conversation got "too Rush Limbaugh" and "clouded with right wing conspiracy theories" so she had to cut out.

There are a lot of people who have a deep and abiding hatred for the President, who are willing to bear a little extra risk, if that means the President will lose.

There are a lot of people who think that George W. Bush stole the election in Florida. They don't care about anything else.

Truth be told, if Algore had prevailed in his attempts to steal the election, I would have a really, really hard time voting for his re-election, regardless of the circumstances. The integrity of the voting process is more important that almost any other consideration.

Of course, they are wrong about Florida. George W. Bush won, by every conceivable measure, by every recount conducted. But you will never convince some people of this.

"Then I ask, why is this election so close? It is a no brainer for those who have a brain!"

Poll 1000 random people in SF and you have a 4-1 Dem to Rep advantage. So the poll starts at 80-20 right off the bat. Run the same poll in Texas and see what the results are.

Its simple in my suspicious eye. Someone is lying, and someone is buying.

If the election turns out to be a referendum on national security, which is certainly the way it looks now, Bush should win.

I continue to believe, for good reason, that the polls are rigged to make Kerry look stronger than he really is. There's a lot of evidence of this, especially with the Newsweek polls.

Does this seem convoluted to anyone else? To me it seems 180 degrees out of phase.

Exactly, but keep in mind that when you are dealing with dimocRATS, you're not dealing with the best and brightest. I've given up trying to follow their logic.
One thing, you can bet: if they were the target of a terrorist attack, that they'd wish they voted for Bush. They are playing the odds that they won't be hit.

Even if Bush wins in a 40 state sweep...people will claim he is a fraud and a liar so it is a no-win situation. The only thing we can do is get out the vote and get it out big. Shutting down all sides of the argument.

That includes everyone showing up in Texas and other Republican strongholds. If it is a popular vote they want? It is a popular vote we can give.

"I think you would be hard pressed to find a job making less than 7 dollars an hour."

I agree! My daughter is making more than minimum wage and she is only 16!
Guess I am an idiot too. Have you noticed that they always cut when the facts get in the way.

IMHO the election is not as close as they say. Most of those who were "dissed" in 2000 are going to vote for Bush but we won't know it until Nov.2. They are just 'saving face' until then.

"people say this but then they can't get past the promise of free health care, free education and a bottomless minimum wage...I actually heard on woman say that she was going to vote for Kerry b/c she wanted to make $7 per hour...yeah Bush is better on terror but what can I get...arghhh!"

Who was it that said "people always vote their pocketbook?" I didn't think that after 9/11 this would be the case but apparently some people live in a cave. A really dark, dreary cave of ignorance.
