That's because Kerry is a "war hero" to none but the Viet Cong.

The only problem is that most are not in the swing states.

"Obviously most Vietnamese-Americans who lost their homeland to the Communists do not like Senator Kerry because he was antiwar and he denigrated the cause of the South," said Dan Hoang, representative of an advocacy group promoting awareness among Vietnamese-American voters.

The Vietnamese-Americans are some of the most patriotic people I know. They know first-hand what it is like to live under the threat of Communism. Many have given their all in the cause of freedom.

Many Vietnamese-Americans feel betrayed by Kerry and his ilk. They can certainly recognize a traitor when they see one.

Also a large number in WA (possibility for swing), VA (we have this one), MD and MA (oh well). Cambodian-Americans also vote for the most part Republican and live in the same states.

They can certainly recognize a traitor when they see one.

I like the description of the Kerry supporters being yelled down at Eden Center.

Eden is a place where South Vietnamese and American patriotism is a central feature of the experience. It hosts regular South Vietnamese patriotic events and often you'll see 50 or more American and RSVN flags in the parking lot, sometimes lots of ex-ARVN soldiers will assemble for commermorative events.

In the picture below you can see the two large permanent flags that are always flying, center and left inside the arch. The tower in the center of the photo is built to resemble Chau Ben Tanh market in downtown Saigon.

The Vietnamese-American newspapers in Northern VA have been calling Kerry a "phan boi" - traitor - on the front pages since he won Iowa. The other favorite description is "mac con ngua": horseface.

Kerry has a long and sordid history in betraying the South Vietnamese (and America), and they know it.

Some are so puzzled by Kerry's inexplicable support for the VN Communist Party that they semi-seriously believe he's on Hanoi's payroll.

Thanks for the information and picture. I will put Eden Center on my list of places to visit and spend money.

What city and state is it in?

They don't ignore him. They hate the horse-faced traitor.
