Hahahaha!!!
This is absolutely stomach turning. I can't imagine the bile in the throats of everyone in O'Malley's and Curran's families.
Maybe Ehrlich's administration has been learning from Karl Rove? http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200411/green
The worst thing is the guy only owned up when a reporter came to his house with print outs of the e-mails. Sorry, my ass. He's sorry he got caught. I can just see him as a little kid, his mother dragging him by the scruff of his neck to the neighbor's house.
"Tell Mrs. Smith you're sorry."
"Sorry, Mrs. Smith," he'd say, with his fingers crossed behind his back.
This guy deserves to be unemployed for the rest of his life. Total scum.
And SWK, it doesn't matter if he started it or propogated it. That's really small of you. And it's small of everyone who has gossiped about it over the last year, too.

I sent this post to you, did you get it? We need this kinda stuff in MD.
"There was a great article in the atlantic (lib mag my wife reads) about Rove. The writer whines all about Rove?s tricks, but they work and he is a genius. He got a rumor started about this dem judge who gave a lot of money to a charity for kids, so they took those pictures of the judge with the kids and said he was a gay pedophile. It worked.

I think it quite likely that they are a husband and wife team.
This is getting old, real fast. Another one:

The Washington Post has more FReepmail than just what MD4BUSH posted. They seem to have copies of what MD4BUSH said to NCPAC - they quoted from one. But what they quoted from NCPAC's FReepmails posted on this thread include only the underlined portions. So they might only have excerpts themselves.
Maica -- care to comment on how you and WBAL knew about this thread on 2/9 when MD4BUSH merely pinged himself/herself. Researching NCPAC's posts?
MD4BUSH - we're still waiting to hear your side of the story.

Someone informed Chip Franklin, who does a daily show on WBAL from 9 to 12am. On Wednesday, Feb 9 I turned on his show after 11am and heard him discussing that he had posted a link on his webpage to this thread.
I was shocked, and shaking with anger, that the whole story was about a Freeper, not about Mayor O'Malley's stupid comments to the Mayor's meeting in DC of the previous day. I called Chip and spoke to him on air, just after the 11:30 newsbreak; before I even hit on the link on his page.
There were two hours of his show that I did not hear, so if he said how he got the info about the particular link, I didn't hear it. As I said I spoke to him before I read those freepmails.
We can only speculate that he got them from the same reporter at the WaPo or BaltoSun that has done so much to make the story about Joe Steffen instead of Mayor O'Malley.
I knew nothing abut NCPAC until I heard Chip talk about it. In fact, my phone call may have sounded a little lame, because I really was just defending the integrity of FreeRepublic, not any particular freeper.

O'Malley Likens Bush's Proposed Cuts to Sept. 11 Attacks
By Lori Montgomery

Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley yesterday compared President Bush's proposed budget cuts to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, saying that Bush, like the al Qaeda hijackers who crashed planes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, has launched an assault on America's cities.
"These cuts, ladies and gentlemen, are sad. Irresponsible. They are also dishonest," O'Malley (D) told a packed news conference at the National Press Club, where mayors and area officials had gathered to decry Bush's plan to slash spending on community development programs by $2 billion.
"With a budget ax, [President Bush] is attacking America's cities," said Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley. (File Photo)
"Back on September 11, terrorists attacked our metropolitan cores, two of America's great cities. They did that because they knew that was where they could do the most damage and weaken us the most," O'Malley said. "Years later, we are given a budget proposal by our commander in chief, the president of the United States. And with a budget ax, he is attacking America's cities. He is attacking our metropolitan core."
Those present appeared to be a bit stunned by the comparison. Afterward, one reporter asked O'Malley to explain his "inflammatory rhetoric." D.C. Mayor Anthony A. Williams (D), who also serves as president of the National League of Cities, said he disagreed with "the harsh language that was used," though he declined to criticize O'Malley directly. Montgomery County Executive Douglas M. Duncan (D) said O'Malley's remarks "went way too far."

and this one: [I'm sure that this one has been posted as its own thread on FR.]
Perhaps it was his show prep, since this article is a Page 1 in the print edition and includes editing that is different from the original webpost. Other freepers have pointed out that it went online at 11pm the night before. See how the url has Feb 8 in its identifier.

Ehrlich Aide Ousted Over O'Malley Rumors
Web Postings, E-Mail Spread Affair Gossip
By Matthew Mosk
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, February 9, 2005; Page A01
Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley yesterday accused agents of Maryland Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr.'s administration of spreading false rumors that he had an extramarital affair, and Ehrlich responded hours later by dismissing a longtime employee.
The mayor, a Democrat considering a bid for governor in 2006, said he believes that the widespread and persistent rumors were part of a "concerted and orchestrated and sustained" effort and called on the Republican governor to apologize to his wife and children.
"I don't think any of us run for office expecting that this sort of hurt will be heaped on our kids or our spouses," O'Malley said.

MD4Bush, it's time to come out of the closet. Everyone knows you're a Doug Duncan operative.
And why have you been in hiding since February 8? Typical gutless Dimmycrap.
Jim, it's time to reveal this smear artist's identity.

He shouldn't wait for the subpoena. He should reveal the information now.

Well, Ryan, now that we know who you are, it just confirms that thee posts are a lying political trap to create a fake scandal for Ehrlich. BTW, did your (ex???) boss Marty Boy tell you to do this, or was it your own idea?
