Lynne Cheney: 'Tawdry' Kerry 'Is Not a Good Man'
newsmax.com ^ | Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004

Lynne Cheney is obviously disgusted by John Kerry's and John Edwards' obsession with her lesbian daughter. Mrs. Cheney, in introducing the vice president to hundreds of supporters after a debate-watching party in Coraopolis, Pa., noted that Kerry had invaded her family's privacy.

"Now, you know, I did have a chance to assess John Kerry once more, and now the only thing I could conclude: This is not a good man," she said. "Of course, I am speaking as a mom, and a pretty indignant mom. This is not a good man. What a cheap and tawdry political trick."

Kerry 'uses' a lot of people to promote himself...Liz Cheney, Christopher Reeve, his 'BandAid Brothers...'

Is it an attempt for a 'common touch' of communal interest designed to appeal to Dumocrats, or is he just such an empty suit that he has no qualities of his own to talk about?

Even Imus has been ripping into Kerry about that today. Even said that Kerry "is not his man. Not today anyway."

That is after he stopped ripping Edwards for his "Kerry would have made Reeves walk" speech.

They are both showing themselves to be smarmy, self aggrandizing politicians. Democrats, in other words.

You touch on a quality that keeps appearing wherever John Kerry goes -- his propensity to use other people as tools for his own ambition, without regard to their feelings.

Which brings to mind what John O'Neill says about him. He says he noticed in the debate, way back in '71, a complete lack of emotion or awareness of others.

Isn't that kind of sociopathic?

Yea, I think we all agree on that point, but where is the outrage from the public at large, not just to this but all the other BS out there.

New ad's using mother who lost son in Iraq for no WMD

New Ad's using soldier who lost leg for Bush's "wrong War"

The lack of disgust is really discouraging.

If Hanoi John had a backbone, he may well have ended up as a Ted Bundy. Still, I'm willing to bet a month's paycheck he tortured cats when he was a kid.

Does the following sound like anyone we know who is running for President on the democrat ticket?

WHAT IS NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder)?

The Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) has been recognized as a seperate mental health disorder in the third edition of the Diagnostic and Statistics Manual (DSM) in 1980. Its diagnostic criteria and their interpretation have undergone a major revision in the DSM III-R (1987) and were substantially revamped in the DSM IV in 1994. The European ICD-10 basically contains identical language.

An all-pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behaviour), need for admiration or adulation and lack of empathy, usually beginning by early adulthood and present in various contexts. Five (or more) of the following criteria must be met:

Feels grandiose and self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents to the point of lying, demands to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)

Is obsessed with fantasies of unlimited success, fame, fearsome power or omnipotence, unequalled brilliance (the cerebral narcissist), bodily beauty or sexual performance (the somatic narcissist), or ideal, everlasting, all-conquering love or passion

Firmly convinced that he or she is unique and, being special, can only be understood by, should only be treated by, or associate with, other special or unique, or high-status people (or institutions)

Requires excessive admiration, adulation, attention and affirmation -or, failing that, wishes to be feared and to be notorious (narcissistic supply).

Feels entitled. Expects unreasonable or special and favourable priority treatment. Demands automatic and full compliance with his or her expectations

Is "interpersonally exploitative", i.e., uses others to achieve his or her own ends

Devoid of empathy. Is unable or unwilling to identify with or acknowledge the feelings and needs of others

Constantly envious of others or believes that they feel the same about him or her

Arrogant, haughty behaviours or attitudes coupled with rage when frustrated, contradicted, or confronted.

The language in the criteria above is based on or summarized from:

American Psychiatric Association. (1994). Diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders, fourth edition (DSM IV). Washington, DC: American Psychiatric Association.

Sam Vaknin. (1999). Malignant Self Love - Narcissism Revisited, first edition. Prague and Skopje: Narcissus Publication. ("Malignant Self Love - Narcissism Revisited" http://www.geocities.com/vaksam/faq1.html )

Kerry was disgraceful and his attack will backfire. It was real lowlife low-rent junk.

Imagine what would have happend had Bush said, "Sen, when you divorced your wife and married Teresa without getting an annulment you comitted adultery in the eyes of your church but your love for Tesres was so great that you didn't let rules get in your way. It is obvious how much you love you wife and I wish everbody loved their billionarie wives as much as you love yours."

KERRY'S intolerant and mean politcal statement about Cheney's daughter is one of the biggest debate foopahs in history.

It is this stupid statement that totally blew the debate for Kerry. It is this, and only this statement that will be remembered, and it ain't pretty for Kerry. He should apologize immediately. What a scum.

Kerry clearly planned that statement. So you have to ask how do these people make decisions. A third grader would have known it was wrong and the reaction it would create.

A would be President cannot be making such ignorant statements and think that the country and the world will accept it.

Additionally I know he can not generally have anything nice about his wife, but he had to have known that question was coming, Couldn't someone in the Kerry Campaign have made something up which would have at least given his supporters a ray of hope that he likes his wife.
