For it to come out that he received a Dishonorable Discharge would be devastating to him....PERIOD!
It would be devastating... if it ever made the light of day...
And i mean, CNN, ABC, CBS... the resources that the "undecided" turn to. It's not going to do any good if it's just bantered about on talk radio and the Internet, because that's just preaching to the choir.
And forgive me my presumptions, but The NY SUN hardly seems like a source that is worthy of being a credible citation. (No offense to anybody, but I've worked with podunk newspapers, there's a reason why the NY Times, even with it's liberal bias and scandals like Jayson Blair, is known as the Newspaper of Record for the United States, it's because for 200+ years the NYT has a record for maintaining accuracy and responsibility in reporting. This NY Sun has what, a 30 week record of accuracy?)
A new scandal, no matter how important, isn't going to bring in any new voters, unless that scandal is reported by MSM.
It sucks. And I hate to be a wet blanket. But our time is better served registering people to vote than it is hoping for some "October Surprise."

Look how long it took for MSM to report anything about the Swifties..if it is good Fox will cover it then it will snowball...Heck maybe Sinclair can pick up the ball and run with it..

NYC Podunk? Are you from Mars or something?
The New York Sun is a daily newspaper published in New York City which debuted April 16, 2002. It is "the first general interest newspaper to be launched in New York in two generations".
Its owners include Hollinger International, the company once led by former Canadian "media baron" Conrad Black, who renounced his Canadian citizenship when the Canadian government forbade him to accept a British peerage. According to an article in the Boston Globe, the paper's staff include many well-known political conservatives. Its president and editor in chief is Seth Lipsky and its managing editor Ira Stoll.
The original New York Sun began publication September 3, 1833, as a morning paper, and an evening edition began in 1887. The Morning Sun merged into the New York Herald in 1919, while the Evening Sun continued until January 4, 1950, when it merged with the New York World-Telegram to form a new paper called the New York World-Telegram and the Sun which in 1966 became part of the New York World Journal Tribune which folded in 1967.
The original Sun is best known for the editorial "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus". It also played a crucial role in The Great Moon Hoax.
