Yes, there is a media food chain and The New York Sun is on the Bottom. I don't know why you are so down on the NY Sun. It's a relatively new newspaper and they seem to be doing quite well. Unfortunately, they are a subscription service so net readers don't usually see it.
However, it has already been picked up on Kerryspot at the National Review Online, and I strongly suspect that it will show up in Best of the Web this afternoon at the WSJ online.
Naturally it won't appear in the NY Times, WAPO, etc., so we're just back to normal, i.e. things on our side move slowly. But they move. Didn't used to happen.

" Like all stories contrary to sKerry, it will need time to pick up momentum because the MSM would prefer to remain silent on the issue."
- There is one piece of paper missing from this story that is needed before it gets legs with Drudge or any other media. It needs some documentary evidence that Kerry's original discharge was less than honorable or alternately, some supporting paperwork from the review board hearing that would have given the members the background to the request for them to consider before they approved the revised honorary discharge.

I just posted this over to Glocktalk.com.
Seems like the office gremlin already beat me to the punch though of printing it out and sticking it in the UNION breakroom. Dang that gremlin, I'm going to get blamed for it again!

Don't kid yourself -- liberals are still talking about Nixon!! This story is as hot as every boomer vet and family -- and there's lots of 'em.
I'm sorry, but I think the Swift Boat thing, and the whole Vietnam story has played out and the "undecided" don't give a rat's a$$ about it any more.

You're right, our side has a voice. A small voice, but a voice.
Naturally it won't appear in the NY Times, WAPO, etc., so we're just back to normal, i.e. things on our side move slowly. But they move. Didn't used to happen.

NOW the question is - if it were dishonorable and reason was - "giving aid and comfort to the enemy" and the Constitution disqualifies anyone (who was an officer and had take the oath of allegiance to the US) with such a label from EVER running for public office, even Senator, let alone Pres (heck, he couldn't run for dog catcher in my little town) Might explain the melt down the Dem Talking heads like Susan Estrich have whenever the SBV topic comes up

I have two questions about this matter that perhaps you know the answer to:
Are the names of the members appointed by Carter to sit on this so-called "review board" also considered out of bounds without a signed 180?
Furthermore, since the board probably reviewed a great many applications to change the discharge status of ex-armed forces members, are the minutes of their meetings and the decisions they took also secret and require a signed 180 before they can be accessed?
If names and minutes are accessible, it could provide an avenue to get further proof of the less than honorable discharge theory.

I'd love to see the whole story about this part of kerry's service record.
I believe him to be a crass opportunist and a liar, rather than the hero he pretends to be.

Look, I certainly hope so. I just hope the momentum that it doesnt pick up is that of " GOP dirty tricks sandbag."More to the point, it can be spun as a NIXON dirty trick, however, if it could be viewed that way Kerry would play off of it. The article says as much.

things on our side move slowly. But they move. It might be better if this one slips in under the radar. I think people have made up their minds who they are going to vote for. The trick now is to pump up turnout.
This story can enhance Bush turnout, even if it never hits the MSM.
