Has Ms. Sears been campaiging actively? I've seen no coverage of this race in national publications.

She has been all over the 3rd District walking the neighborhoods, doing radio and TV interview, meeting with civic, business and regligious organizations. Her strength is in her ability to reach across party, racial and cultural lines.

While she has received news coverage in the Tidewater area, the Richmond Times Dispatch has pretty much ignored her until recently when they finally admitted the race was heating up.
