My thinking is that after this election...when the pundits and analysts dissect Bush's win, they will conclude one of the biggest factors was the movement of certain traditionally democratic groups to Bush.

I'm thinking a shift of several percent. In addition, groups which normally don't vote will come out in support of a socially conservative agenda. And the major groups are:

a) Socially conservative / avid churchgoing blacks
b) Avid churchgoing Catholics
c) Normally apolitical groups such as the Amish

One addendum...I suspect that the shift of socially conservative Jews to Bush and Republicans had already occurred over the last several years. I don't know if this shift was present in the 2000 election...so the Jewish vote is unknown at this time.
