New York, NY, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- A conservative U.S. broadcaster whose outlets reach one-quarter of the nation's TV viewers is airing a film that attacks John Kerry just before the election.
Sinclair Broadcast Group has ordered its 62 stations to preempt regular programming during primetime to air "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal," the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.
The film, funded by Pennsylvania veterans and produced by a veteran and former Washington Times reporter, features former POWs accusing Kerry -- a decorated U.S. Navy veteran who later protested the war -- of worsening their ordeal by prolonging the conflict.
The one-hour special, which will be aired between Oct. 21 and Oct. 24 depending on the city, will be followed by a panel discussion to which Kerry will be invited, potentially satisfying fairness regulations, the Times reported.

Guess you haven't seen Moore is running his propaganda election eve.
The way to win is a STRONG offense.
And that is waht Stolen Honor does.
"It's a media-criticizing-the-media thing."
And that's why Dan Rather is getting off scott free.
I make up my own mind, I don't rely on the media spin.
Commercials catch people unawares. But when you air something longer than 60 seconds, people can turn away -- and they will.
Wanna summarize? There were over 160 replies.
Perception is reality and they will be perceived as being equivalent. You may wallow in your naïve ideas if you wish, but politics is a rougher game than that.
And thank you so much for pinging me when you talk about me. It's nearly as pleasant as your strawman and ad hominem attacks.
F911 is being "aired" on pay-per-view, allegedly. No deal has been struck yet.
Dan Rather is getting eaten alive. You don't see what's happening to him and to the credibility of the MSM. Rather is losing to Simpsons reruns in NYC. You don't win these things with a knockout punch.
>Just because you tell the truth doesn't mean people will believe it. <
I know if people never have an opportunity to see it, the odds are good that they won't believe it. Sinclair Broadcasting is allowing this to get out to almost a quarter of our population. They are offering Americans the opportunity to become more informed (something MSM has tried desperately to avoid).
Now you say no one will watch it???? Then you refer to us as too cheap to pay for it. You are slapping wildly at the freepers here and the public in general, almost like you are in a panic that this might materialize. There are many of us here that are donating to causes hand over fist, to try and get the truth out to the American people. What's your real problem? None of your arguments make any sense. You and Killjoy seem to need to put such a negative spin on this Golden Opportunity. I believe there are millions of people that will be glad to have the chance to view this. I also believe that people that are not of our generation and are clueless as to Kerry's real behavior during the Vietnam years will view this as a wake up call. Knowledge is a wonderful tool!
The backlash will have a larger effect. Some people have worked very hard to out Dan Rather and Mark Halperin, and in one fell swoop, their efforts are minimized.
Kerry's numbers were going up, until the Swifties started to tell the people about the real Kerry. THAT started Kerry's numbers going down. Then, of course the RNC kept up the momentum.
Now, that the TV shows aren't talking much about the message of the Swifties, the American people are starting to forget who Kerry really is, and sure enough, Kerry's poll numbers have started to go up.
To defeat Kerry, it's absolutely essential that the voters understand what Kerry really stands for and against. For the UN, against the US and the troops.
Hopefully Stolen Valor and more ads by the Swifties in the next few crucial weeks will accomplish this.
I am about to send another donation to the Swifties, I can't afford NOT to, all I have to do is think of Kerry as president. :::shudder:::

"What is amazing to me is the wholesale political naïveté"
Let me know when you quit watching "network spin" and formulate your own opinion.
This is a consequence of the campaign finance laws. They should repeal all those ridiculous laws and let the first amendment work. Will people try to influence the election? You bet. Is there anything wrong with that? Nope.
"Moore's film consists of nothing but LIES."
Not true. He used nothing but true facts to fabricate a web of LIES.
Show they are not total idiots then... the truth can HURT
They tried 4 years ago and no one cared. Also, GWB hasn't made sobriety THE central issue in his campaign.
killjoy is a liberal 5th columnist who stays on this forum by staying JUST inside of the requirements.
Sort of like Vladmir Posner, but not nearly as smart.
Ignore him/her -- bur keep an eye out.
All you have to do it read the articles, not the posts.
"What if someone wants to play a documentary about President Bush's drining days? Is that ok also?"
Sure is. The difference is that Bush has turned away from that habbit, and Kerry has not turned form the being the opportunist that he is.
I don't really like the term 'liberal 5th columnist'. The 'Muslim 5th columnist' term use were using for me before had a much better ring to it.
"Having plans to show a pro-Bush documentary gets rid of any leverage there might be to prevent an anti-Bush documentary from being shown."
OK...so showing a pro-Bush documentary now, after the anti-Bush "documentary" has already turned out to be a hit movie shown nationwide already, and having already been given considerably more than ample coverage from the MSM, and already being scheduled to be shown the night before voting day, is already the wrong thing to do because it will prevent us from using the nonexitant leverage you speak of in preventing what has ALREADY happened?
Enough, already.
