Watch the crowd reacting to Kerry and Bush!

Posted on 10/08/2004 7:43:05 PM PDT by Ron/GA

Few people are approaching Kerry and everyone is crowding around Bush. Looks like a political statement to me!

Bush got the women when he stood up and answered that young woman on the abortion question. Kerry claimed to be a Catholic and then repudiated the most sacred tenet of the Catholic church.

That was also when Kerry said that abortions either cured or prevented AIDS.

You're right. Mama T. came and went in seconds. Didn't hang around to press the flesh with Botoxboy. Wonder what the atmosphere will be like tonight back at the hotel for the Heinz/Kerry's? Two rooms again?

I was really hoping that in his closing statement that Bush would have pounced all over that "clever quip" of Kerry's regarding his own 87 billion flip-flop. However, the President came, saw, and kicked butt tonight, so I'm celebrating!

Kerry stayed away from the crowd until he saw the throngs around President Bush. Kerry hung back with the other 200 grander and the ATM at first.

the operative world there is LISTEN. When the debate was watched, Kennedy who looked better, won. Nixon sounded better because he probably had more substance. I'm a big Kennedy fan, but let's face it style over stubstance won that debate;

Thanks for defending my now tattered reputation (grin). But I do believe that W's substance came through to the *listener* who was aware of the current reality (about 5%). I'm very glad y'all believe W won, and I take the pajamahadeen consensus very seriously since you collectively slammed W's performance in the first debate, which I also listened to.

My point is that Kerry's *style* was superior in the audio only channel, the only one available (by choice) to me. He seemed constantly on the attack, Bush persistantly pushed to defense. Bush had better substance, but was weak in delivering it, and often omitted it all together.

Frankly, I think W phoned in his debate tonight. He could have done much better and really put this thing away. I'm so very glad y'all think that the TV performance was a slam dunk for W, but I didn't see that, I was just listening to the words.

regards,

Terry McAuliffe, head of the rat party admitted on Fox that Kerry had lost.

Are you serious? He really said that? That's really amazing.

Bush killed sKerry on both style and substance. I don't know if the rest of you noticed, but sKerry looked as if he knew he had lost the election tonight.

"...they know the truth, but don't want, at this point, to see this election all but over."

But why? Where do we conservatives go to the "rah rah's"
when the only conservative channel is being "conservative"!! I guess we come here ?

I heard him on the radio for a half hour. I really disagree with you. I was cheering after the second question. He was good to listen to (and he won on radio, too) and he was great on television.

Bush is on the local TV in St. Louis at his rally (my step-daughter is there) and the crowd started yelling 4 more years. Noe they are chanting "Laura"... Bush asked if anyone had any questions! (then he laughed!)

He received $84 in profit, which makes him a small business owner. They were laughing about it.

No, he didn't. Maybe it's a joke.

That scares me. Terry McAwful would lie if the truth was better for him.
