Watch the crowd reacting to Kerry and Bush!

Posted on 10/08/2004 7:43:05 PM PDT by Ron/GA

Few people are approaching Kerry and everyone is crowding around Bush. Looks like a political statement to me!

Not to rain on anybody's parade, but to think that Bush won this debate is delusional.

I seriously beg to differ. Bush crushed him - especially on style. Unless you equate style with arrogance and a snobbish attitude. Some people do.

I should fire Norman Mineta, George Tenet and Richard Clarke 1/20/2003.

Don't forget O'Neill!

Kerry did indeed change the subject on the draft issue. I guess he didn't want to remind potential voters that it was the liberals who were behind the draft issue.

Didn't Gibson go after Kerry like a pit bull on GMA recently? Or did I hear wrong on that?

FOX is in the tank for liberals.

Yeah I am wondering what the hell is up with Fox News. Very disappointed with their "after analysis" and their hesitation, geez!!

I watched on CBS and they actually showed Bush working the crowd (actually, they were working him!) while Kerry talked to Teresa & moderator. Finally Kerry joined the crowd. Bush lit up the room tonight, and Laura too!

We don't have TV and so listened to it over the net. Bush seemed to be defending when he should have been attacking and Kerry was on the attack all the time. We ***are*** voting for W even if we have to crawl across broken glass to do it, but the three of us sitting here listening to the debate all thought that Kerry "won" through superior style and preparation.

I appreciate your informing me of the visual style of the debaters, Bush confident and Kerry lost. I truely hope it was so as listening only I would have called it the other way.

regards,

I listened (not watched) the entire debate and believe that Kerry won on style and technique and Bush (sort of) won on substance. Kerry is clearly the better debater working with inferior material. Not to rain on anybody's parade, but to think that Bush won this debate is delusional.

You should have watched it. Bush's strength is connecting with the audience. Bush raised three or four chuckles out of the audience and was as effective tonight as he was ineffective last time.

Bush won on style and substance tonight.

I listened to the first half hour on the car and was cheering. When I got home I saw the rest on television and was cheering. Listening or watching, he was magnificent

So glad to hear that, someone posted that Bush sounded tired on the radio. I could not believe that.

" I own a lumber company?" Wasn't that great?! Whoever gave Kerry that info is going to wish they hadn't!

Bush's response destroyed whatever Skerry said before.

Forget the polls........the people know who won.........by a landslide.

The man couldn't answer anything DIRECTLY.

North Korea? Not even a retort. "Bilateral"? Give me a break......after castigating Bush, in the last debate, for what he perceives as his "unilateral" approach to diplomacy, he turned around and proclaimed a "unilateral/bilateral" approach to NK.

His hypocrisy knows no end.

I was watching the crowd after the debate. Mr. Bush and his wife were thronged with fawning supporters. Mr Kerry was actually looking for people to talk to!!!! This is hillarious.

I saw it too! The only people Kerry has a majority with are CBS, NBC and ABC. They've been lying to the American people and we know it.

Yes, yes, yes!!!!Bush kicked Kerry into next week. He turned the 'mistake' question around and said not going into Iraq would have been a mistake. He highlighted Kerry's lack of a record...ninety eight times he'd voted to raise taxes on Americans. Given a choice of whether to raise taxes or not have socialized medicine, as GW said, it's obvious what Kerry would do...he'd raise taxes. GW hit this whole debate out of the park. It was enjoyable to watch because he was energized, on his game, and kicked Kerry's butt early and often.
