I was at the second Bush-Gore debate in Winston-Salem in 2000. The audience rushed Bush at the conclusion, me included. No one wanted to talk to Gore except some middle aged men who looked like union bosses. I got W's autograph on my debate ticket. He is awesome in person.

I watched C-span and there was a shot of all these people gathered around the Bushes, hoding their cameras in the air because they were out in the crowd snapping shots at GWB...and Kerry was standing just a few feet a way. Pretty telling and very funny!
