Bush sucked on drug imports, and Kerry won that one, and deserved to win, and got some points for it, which will hurt Bush a bit. The idea is to bring the two tier price system down. The Torie plan is needed, and it is needed now (most favored nation drug pricing, as you know). Bush won't do it. If this were the only issue that mattered, I would vote for Kerry early and often.

If there is some event in DC, I will try to attend. It is time that I meet some of my friends, whom I have never met. I have only met two Freepers on this forum face to face, one of which has been banned, so I am something of a wraith.

Personally, I'd let em import as many as possible and have government get out of the way completely.

I'm trying to call into WJR760AM (whose signal can sometimes be reached as far away as North Carolina) right now and take Kerry's Michigan director Mr. Fowler(From South Carolina) to task for lying about outsourcing.

The point that GW didn't address is that the "drug companies" use "zone pricing" to recover their costs and to make profits. A result of this pricing strategy is that unsold drugs are sold at a discount to Canadian distributors.

And so, enterprisers have figured out how to counter this strategy by selling back into the USA. What F*ing fails to mention is that, were the government to intercede in this market, there would very likely be no more underpriced drugs provided for our socialist neighbors, and possibly fewer advanced drugs available in the USA.

So if Kerry understands this dynamic, he is a demagouge, and if he doesn't, he's a fool.
