We now know who won. Andrea Mitchell said we would not know for a few days who won the debate.

If it was Kerry, she would have admitted it immediately.

When you watch the debate replay, pay extra attention to Kerry's comments just after the environmental question from the audience member. Kerry makes some bizarre statement (meant to be a joke, I guess) that sounded something like this: "The president isn't living in a world of reality. If you're a Red Sox fan it's okay. If you're president, it's not."

When I'm not so tired, I'll have to go back and re-check the tape I made of the debate, but I doubt that I'll still understand what he meant. Comments about Kerry's Red Sox "joke" are around 3201-3300, 3301-4000 on this thread.
