No-- I have a friend who has a son born with what's called a storage disease -- sort of like the boy in Lorenzo's Oil -- anyway, he was give a donated cord blood stem cell transplant -- it stopped the progression of the disease as far as we can tell. They did it at Duke -- they have an ongoing program there. It's still considered experimental, but they treat lots of children there.
