Too true. Let's just hope the d'RATs crawl back under the rocks they came out from.

I have to admit I don't remember the faith-on-the-sleeve line. I only saw/heard the eulogy once.

And of course the first thing that came to my mind was Clinton promising a middle-class tax cut. After the first three weeks in office he emerged with the, "I've worked harder than I ever have in muh life and I just can't do it."
He knew the rule as Kerry does it: Promise whatever you need to promise. Break the promise very early in your time as pres and the people will forget by reelection time (unless of course you're a Rep and the media keeps your no-new-taxes alive for sound bites until you are toast).

Yea Christian, Being from Massachusetts I never in my wildest nightmares would I have ever imagined that Senator Invisible would be this close to being President of the United States.

They used the political trick...run as a conservative until you're safely in office, then become liberal. It's all for viewership, just as nearly every career politician has one goal in mind: votes.

I just wonder if they are baiting Kerry so he will agree to the OReily interview? If not, it's weird It's weird regardless.
I can ususally breathe easy when Fred Barnes is on, but gag, what's this "tie" business? Bush murdered Kerry! I mean, it wasn't even close. And I say that having combated nausea after the 1st debate.

"I'm noticing hardly nobody in the audiance wants to shake Kerry's hand.. anybody else notice this?"
Yes, I noticed also. He looked like he threw himself in the crowd just so he could be surrounded. GWB had no such problem!

I was wondering who W meant by he regretted some of the appointments he'd made. Whitman to the EPA I thought, but she stumped for him today. Wonder who he wasn't happy with.

You simply do not get it! We are Americans and the rest of the world wishes that they were us! Though I don't doubt there's anti-American sentiment in many places, have you noticed these little anecdotal bits center around people rude enough to walk up to somebody visiting from a foreign country and read them the riot act? I would never treat a German tourist in America that way, but I'm sure if some butthead did the touurist would return to Hamburg and tell everyone how much Americans hate germany because of Herr Schroeder's crappy policies.

LOL! I told you I can not spell, and it look like my ears needed checking as well when I was a little girl. It always sounded like they started that word with a V.

I wonder what the record is for posts on a single thread is here?
To: mowowie
I have no idea. The Cheney/Edwards debate thread got over 8,000 I think.

To: Ghost of Philip Marlowe
As Bush has said, Kerry has promised to raise taxes, and that's the sort of promise a Massachusetts pol will keep.

Yea that was an exciting night on FR! very slow though. much better tonight. Yes! Tuesday night was impossible. I was bumped off FR five minutes into the debate and I couldn't get back in until an hour after it was over (I have dial-up). Tonight was smooth, though. I was only bumped off once and it was no problem jumping back in. The pages loaded relatively fast, even with pictures. Good job, FR!
