Per G-Man.....pinging for the pajama sleuths! Oh, come on. Can't we just leave the job to those dedicated investigative reporters at seeBS?

Whatever happen to Ritter. He is no longer on TV. I imagined the Dems would be interviewing him all the time to diss this administration?

I don't have time to read the entire list of articles. There may be some new ones at

Hussein had two problems: sanctions and people looking for his weapons. He needed the world on his side. He bribed Europe and Russia through high-dollar contracts to get them to side with him on sanctions. He bribed the UN to do likewise, plus not press on inspections.
Those two things explain why Hussein was willing to part with his ill-gotten wealth. It also explains why there was No Time Period Of Any Kind that would have been long enough for us to wait "until inspections played out," for the inspections were undoubtedly compromised at the source.
Fortunately for the world, Hussein didn't compromise the United States veto.
Glad to be able to Bump this thread.

Poor Saddam, Uday, Quasay, and all the Baathists.
They learned too late that "timing is everything".

"Money skimmed off of U.N.-supervised oil sales ended up with men like Shakir al-Khafaji, an Iraqi American in Michigan. Al-Khafaji provided former U.N. arms inspector Scott Ritter with $400,000 to make the anti-sanctions film In Shifting Sands.
