My liberal girlfriend insists that its Bush's fault. Bush went to Iraq for the oil yadda yadda. I asked her "well, if Bush went for oil, wouldn't he be selling it to us cheaper now?" and she had no response. You must love her very much. I hope you can find a cure.

I think this is political and that because the dollar is so weak the oil speculators need more dollars to make it worth their while.

Although the sign at the station was much higher, I paid 1.89 here in Ohio yesterday.

Do you even have a clue as to what it cost to drill a well? Even on land the cost are great. One I am very familiar with cost 8.5 million with no pay off. A great many are dry holes. Without the prospect of a big payoff, no one will risk their money to drill.

I dunno about a cure, she's illogical. She's a public school teacher, dead-set against vouchers, is extremely cynical about America and the very idea of America. She thinks that we became the wealthiest nation on earth by stealing from the weak and unfortunate.

It may back down for a while, but it is headed up longterm. No top, but for practicality say $200 in the next ten years. The limit will be when alternative energy is competitive worldwide, which is oil at $200.

She thinks that we became the wealthiest nation on earth by stealing from the weak and unfortunate. I dunno either. She will always get the reinforcement from her piers on this. Very hard to make someone think for themselves. Good luck and I mean that for you.

"Israel will strike before the year is out, IMHO. If Bush wins, it could be before December."
When this happens expect $75 a barrel and $2.50 a gallon pump prices. Not good, but it's either pay now in dollars or pay later in us getting a nuke up our butt.

My liberal girlfriend insists that its Bush's fault. Bush went to Iraq for the oil yadda yadda. I asked her "well, if Bush went for oil, wouldn't he be selling it to us cheaper now?" and she had no response. Prediction: Tops out at $55.43 and then starts to fall on 11/3 after Bush is re-elected.
Just a few months ago weren't the liberals saying that Bush was going to fix oil prices to be much lower the month before the election. What happened to that? I think it's hilarious that the think he's stupid, yet he's this genius mastermind that can control everything -- including the weather. I wish they would stop flip-flopping on that and make up their minds.
